Constant knocks at the door make us stop cleaning our room. We look at each other as if to ask who might be the person behind it.

"Let me open it," I tell Chocho and stand up from where I am sitting. Today is Saturday and it's our laundry and cleaning day. We got a day off from work too and will resume tomorrow.

I head straight to the door and open it once I get to touch the knob.

"Good morning," the apartment owner greets me. I wonder what makes her come to us this early. Is it time for our monthly payment already?

"Good morning, ma'am. May I know what brought you here today?" I always feel like being nice in front of this kind woman. She has been kind to us since we came here.

"Sarada, I just want to inform you that you got a visitor today," she is somewhat perplexed like what I am feeling right now. It's so unusual for me to have guests in the apartment during weekends.

Who would that be?

"I see. I think I shall take a look," I tell her and she responds with a nod. She leaves immediately after I got notified.

"Did Kawaki ask you out?" she is teasing me. I can see that cringy look on her face.

"What are you talking about?!" I think I slightly freaked out I can't stop stuttering.

"Hm," oh gosh, she looks ambiguous and silly at the same time.

"Stop it!" as if there is a way he will ask me out.

"Then, why are you freaking out?" she rolls her eyes.

"What are you trying to say? Who would not freak out when you were asked about a silly thing?" I pout at her.

"Okay, calm down. You were so serious since yesterday. You need to chill, okay?" she shrugs and returns to her work.

"I need to go and meet this person. I will be back," I tell her.

"Be quick," she demands.

"I'll try," I tell her and close the door behind me.

Who was that, by the way?

My curiosity is knocking at my consciousness again. I am eager to meet the person and I don't know why I feel such a thing all of a sudden. My heart is beating unusually too.

When I get to the lobby, I...

"Wait, I think..."

"Mom?!" I mutter and she turns to see me.

"Sarada!" she mutters. She looks happy and worried at the same time I can tell by the look in her eyes.

"But why?" I cannot help but stammer. She always calls when she is going to visit or meet me somewhere but she did not notify me about this one.

"How are you?" she asks upon my arrival near her side.

"I'm fine. What about you?" I hug her. I just missed her so much.

"Are you sure?" her tone is worried.

"Hm, yeah," honestly, I'm not fine. With all the mess from the past weeks, I'm not fine. She invited me to sit down and talk.

"Where is Chocho?" she asks not seeing my best friend with me.

"Well, we are doing some chores today," I tell her, and she gives me a nod.

"I see. You know..." she pauses and looks at me. Her eyes are filled with trouble. And further, I have not told her about us working part-time jobs on the weekends.
