"mr wheeler?" el knocked on his door as he muttered a come in.

she opened the door then walked in, "i'm sorry to bother, sir, but i don't get this," she muttered in embarrassment before showing him an email. "what in the world does this mean?" she rocked on her heal as she scratched her neck.

his eyes scanned through the email with his familiar frown and then he shut off her laptop. "ignore it,"

"why? they said we have to pay up but i don't recall a business—"

"i said ignore it, el. i'll take care of it," he said as she nodded, "i understand." she murmured, "i'll leave then, thank you," she gave him a curt nod before exiting his office.

sitting down at her desk, she huffed and typed on her laptop to finish her draft.

after some time, she rubbed her eyes and played around with the sticky notes on her table.

this job was quite boring sometimes, there was no one here and mike was always too grumpy to talk to her.

sometimes having no one was quite lonely.

when she finished, she checked the time and seeing it was lunch, she laid down on her table to take a quick nap.

just a quick little nap, she thought. and in a quick second, she drifted off really quickly.

but when she jolted awake, she slowly stirred and sat up straighter till she felt something on her head.

when she touched her head, she felt a sticky note and so she peeled it off and read the writing on it.

nice drawing, ives. lunch is for eating.

she recognised the writing quickly and she smiled when she saw the takeout on her table.

standing up, she walked towards his office and knocked on his door.

"yes?" he asked when she opened the door. "you're awake," he stated and she nodded.

"you didn't have to buy me lunch. i'm the assistant and—"

"lucas got it for us." he said without looking up, "i think it's fish and chips," he said and she made a face of realisation before nodding.

"oh," she breathed out, "still, thank you. i'll make sure not to sleep in the office again,"

he grunted something.

"and we're back to grumpy.." she whispered to herself, "thank you again mr wheeler," she said louder this time before shutting the door and heading back to her desk in embarrassment.

"i'm going out, when you finish with that contract, put it on my desk," mike only said and el nodded, "yes, sir— mr wheeler," she corrected quickly as he headed to the elevators.

she wasn't sure where he was going, and she assumed it wasn't work related or else she would be involved.

she assumed he was probably going to the club.

with a small sigh escaping her, she walked to the pantry with her mug then went to pour herself a glass of water.

making her way back, she reminded herself that she needed to work faster since this contract draft was due tomorrow and she still hadn't finished.

when she was down, she quickly printed everything out, placed it into a file and then headed into mikes room and placed it on his desk.

she sighed, seeing how messy his desk was so she began to clean all the files up. she stacked up his files, fixed up his pens and the stacks of paper on his desk.
