"what the fuck are you doing here?" mike asked, seeing el walk into his office.
"working? i got you your—"
"get home," he stood up, "you are resting. i need you home, laying on your bed, eating whatever the fuck you see— no, don't do that. don't take food from strangers, you hear me? eat what the maids cook. just.. get home,"
she shook her head. "im all better though."
"sure, that's what the nurse says but i want you resting for a few more days just in case,"
"you want me gone?" she placed her hands on her hips as she glared.
"what!? no!"
she then smiled widely, "okay, good. then it's settled." she sat down across from him, "i wanna talk about grace's proposal."
"no." he glared and sat down. "go home and watch your fucking movies,"
she frowned, "stop trying to push me away,"
"i am not. i just want you healthy. what did you eat for breakfast?" he questioned her, resting his arms on his desk.
she didn't respond.
"eleanor jane hopper ives. did you not eat?"
"well i was going to, but then i realised i was running late and then—"
"i take my eyes off of you for a second." he stood up then grabbed his jacket to put it on.
he then removed the files from her lap and threw it on his desk before grabbing her hand and pulling her up.
she shrieked, "what are you doing!?"
"we're going to go eat. and that's the deal if you want to sit on your ass here all day,"
"gosh, you're so fucking bossy," she muttered as he looked back at her.
she gulped, "sorry."
he just chuckled with a small grin before leading her to the elevators, keeping her by his side safely.
when they reached the lobby, he quietly led her down the street till they arrived at the restaurant.
"what is this place?" el asked as mike led her into a restaurant down by the office building.
"a restaurant. do you like seafood?"
"um, i'm not sure. i like sushi..?" she titled her head as he led her to a back room and helped pull out her seat before letting go of her hand.
"you're allergic to shrimp as well, right?"
she looked up, wondering how he knew. "i'm not that allergic as i am to blueberries. if i eat too much shrimp then my lips get a little itchy but that's it."
"let's not risk it." he sat down across from her before pressing something to call a waiter in.
"yes, mr wheeler?" the waiter asked, opening the door.
"a seafood platter and my usual pasta." he said, then looked over at el. "want something to drink?"
she nodded slowly.
"a glass of orange juice," he ordered and the waiter nodded before exiting the room.
"it's quite early to eat that much, no? we still have to work," el said.
"who said we were going back to work?" he smirked as her mouth dropped open a bit and she had no idea how to respond.
