Chapter 10- No Ten, Don't Encourage The Violence
Kun loves his mate; he really does. And he has to remind himself of this periodically during situations like these. Now don't get him wrong when he says this. But sometimes Ten just knows how to hit the right nerves. Like right now, where Kun is about 20 seconds from bopping the love of his life up the side of his head. After discovering Taeyong's pregnancy, they left him in the capable hands of Doyoung and Taeil since they had a training session to run with their own team. And even though Kun was the leader on the paperwork for their team, it was more of a joint effort between the two mates. Though sometimes Kun regrets this when he lets Ten run the training exercise.
He should have known when Ten had come to him yesterday asking if he could run the training today to be suspicious. Typically when Ten wants to run training, they plan it out together and have everything ready. It's their routine since the two of them work so well together. So when Ten came to him saying that he planned the whole thing out by himself this time, Kun really should have been suspicious. But, his mind was on other things, so he didn't really pay any attention to it. Looking back on it now, he should have.
Watching the free-for-all that was going on before him was really making Kun reevaluate his life decisions. Especially letting Ten in charge of training and maybe even agreeing to go out with the omega in the first place. But Kun didn't really have time for that at the moment. He had to go and make sure that his team didn't go and kill each other because his mate wanted to cause some chaos in his life. He had to keep reminding himself that he loved his omega with all his heart, and no matter what he wanted to do, he couldn't strangle his omega. Now he was only being half-serious here since he did, in fact, love Ten with all his heart. And below his snark and chaotic nature, he was a very kind and loving person. And he cared a lot about his family and his loved ones. He just had a very brilliant mind, and he got bored quickly. Which meant that he got very good at causing chaos.
And poor Kun was usually close and up witness to the madness or an unwilling participant. Like now, for example, watching the dogpile that was his team on the floor. At this point, Kun wasn't even really sure what was going on. Dejun was chasing YangYang around the room, screeching at the top of his lungs. Lucas and Kunhang were wrestling on the floor, and at this point, they were just a pile of limbs, and Kun couldn't tell where one alpha began and the other ended. Sicheng was sitting on the sidelines, trying to mediate and failing. And his lovely mate was standing in the middle of the room, laughing at all of the chaos. And Kun has no idea what the objective of the training was supposed to be. But he could indeed feel a headache coming on now, though. God, he needed a drink. He loved Ten; he really, really did.
Meanwhile, Kun knows that his mate loves to cause chaos and stir up some trouble. He also knows that he usually has a reason behind the madness. But for once, Kun couldn't figure out what that was though. Usually, Kun can read his mate like an open book, and he just knows when he gets into a mood what's going to happen. Though this time was different, Kun didn't notice anything off with Ten. In fact, Ten seemed to be acting like his usual self. So Kun really wasn't sure what the Hell was going on this time. Typically when Ten goes off the rails like this, there's always a reason. It's usually a clue for Kun that there's something wrong with his mate. But this time, Kun can't quite figure out what it is. The only things he can think of our the possible mole and Taeyong's pregnancy...wait a second. Of course! He's such an idiot! Of course, Ten would be somewhat upset about both of these events. Having a possible threat to their team and family is enough to make anyone upset. But Kun knows how fuming mad Ten is about the situation even though he won't voice his thoughts. Plus, having Taeyong pregnant on top of that. That puts a bigger target on their leader's back, and Kun knows how much Ten worried about their leader even before he got pregnant. Ten and Taeyong are very close with one another, and they are very protective of the other; if you hurt one, you'll end up in a whole world of hurt by the other's hands.
