Chapter 16- Chaos' Undoing

Taeyong will not lie; he's a little scared shitless here. The last time he was this afraid was when he, Ten, and Hansol were captured, and the elder was killed.... It was not a fond or pleasant time and one that Taeyong does not wish to repeat if he can help it. But with Doyoung's alarm system still sounding off in the background, his apprehension grows in his bones. As a leader, he's the one who's supposed to take charge here. Give orders, and find a way to get them all out alive. And while Taeyong has half a plan in his head that he thinks can get them all out primarily unscathed, he's not all with it at the moment. He has a million thoughts buzzing through his mind at the moment. From the safety of his team to his friends, his mate, his brother, and most importantly, the unborn child that he has in his stomach that half the people he's currently with know nothing about.

It was times like these that Taeyong really does believe that the universe had some sort of grudge against him for something that he did in a past life. Why else would shit like this be happening to him now, right? The omega has to take a lot of calming breaths here to fight the anxiety that is threatening to spill over at any moment. It's only standing behind his mate, close enough to touch his back, and having Donghyuck within his sight line keeps him together. He knows it's part of his pregnancy instincts, which have been screaming at him relentlessly since the alarms started to blare about getting away and getting to safety. And while Taeyong wants nothing more to do than to grab Johnny and Donghyuck and turn tail and run for the hills, he can't. His team, friends, and family are counting on him to get them out of this. And he'll be damned before he leaves them high and dry to the wolves. He will not let this traitor to their Agency, Hell, even their country kill his family.

After meeting up with most of his team in the hallway on the way to investigate, Taeyong was ready to brace himself for a fight. He knew that bringing the beta out would be a hell of a battle if the mole had gotten ahold of Doyoung and anyone else with him. It didn't help that his father was in charge of their division, which meant Doyoung and Jungwoo if he was with him too, could be used as leverage against them. He was busy spiraling trying to figure out how to get his best friend out of this mess without killing him when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket.

Taeyong was still standing behind Johnny and quickly surveyed the room to ensure there was no immediate danger and that everyone was okay before pulling out his phone to see what it was. He saw that it was Kun who had texted him, and when he saw what the younger sent him, he felt his blood freeze.

Kun: It's Park. He's the Mole. Get to Doyoung's Office now.

He didn't realize that he had also stopped walking until he felt people slam into his back and knock him forward, his phone almost flying out of his hands. "Hyung?" He could hear Donghyuck ask from behind him. "What's wrong?" Taeyong didn't answer. At first, he was too shocked and stunned to say anything. His brain was having trouble processing this. Park? Was Park Daeyong the mole? All this time, it was him? He betrayed them all and organized his capture and Hansol's murder? Taeyong admits that he wasn't fond of the man, but he found he was competent and good at his job. He trusted him with his team almost as much as he did with Kim Yunho. To find this out, he didn't know what to think. Taeyong felt like he was going to throw up.

Taeyong wasn't paying enough attention to realize that the rest of their party had stopped and were all staring at him with varying levels of concern painted on their faces. The most palpable one is Johnny. "Babe?" Johnny asked him softly as he laid a shoulder on his mate's shoulder. "What's wrong?" He asked. And the concern in his mate's voice was enough to snap him out of his stupor. He shook his head, trying to gather his thoughts together. He couldn't lose his shit now. His team was counting on him to get them out of this. And like Hell, he would let Park lay a finger on Doyoung or anyone else in his family. They were all he had left, and he would do everything he could to stop him.
