Chapter 20- A Happy Ending For All

6 months later....

Donghyuck was sound asleep. He was sound asleep, curled up in his bed with Mark. The two of them had taken to sharing a bed every night, almost after the chaos that was the past couple of months. Once Park was dead, and things were slowly starting to go back to normal, the two began talking. And Donghyuck means actually speaking. Not their version of only saying half of what they mean, thinking that the other knows precisely what they're talking about, and guessing about the rest.

It was a very long and painful conversation, to begin with. But the more the two of them talked, the better it went. They spoke of things from the present to the past even before they knew each other. It was very healing overall, and the two of them were finally able to hash out their feelings for each other and deal with the fallout without worrying about the end of the world. Donghyuck had confessed that he had had a crush on the older man since they first met. And that a big part of the reason he used to drive him crazy was for his attention. He wanted to be around Mark but needed to learn to converse with people his age to whom he wasn't related. So he did whatever he could to get the alpha's attention on him.

And Mark had said that he had probably been in love with Donghyuck for a couple of years now if he thinks about it. It took him a bit longer to realize his feelings for the younger. And he apologized for not getting it sooner and causing the omega a lot of grief on his end. Donghyuck smacked him on the shoulder and called him an idiot for that. And not long after that, the two of them had dissolved into giggles. It was nice being so open and vulnerable with each other. It felt right, more than exemplary, and they were meant to be together. And they really haven't left each other alone ever since.

So the two of them had taken to sleeping in one of their beds every night. They mainly spent it sleeping in Mark's room. At this point, the omega had practically moved in with the alpha. And while Mark had no complaints about living with Donghyuck, he hesitated to ask him to move in with him. He didn't want Donghyuck to think he was rushing and pushing for the younger to move in with him and get mated. So he was fully prepared to let things happen at their own pace and hope for the best outcome.

That night the two of them had cuddled up in bed with each other and had fallen asleep after a long day of training. Since everyone was finally recovered from Park physically, activity had resumed, and they were making up for the lost time. So everyone was always exhausted from it afterward. The only two exempt from it were Jaemin and Taeyong, which was only because they were pregnant. Sometimes Donghyuck envies his older brother and best friend for being pregnant; this was one of those times. Then he witnesses one of them throwing up their guts because they can't stand the smell of someone's new soap. And those feelings go away, and he threatens to cut off Mark's dick if he ever gets him pregnant. Luckily, the alpha laughs it off, knowing that his omega is (mostly) kidding about it. (He knows that Donghyuck loves him more than anything, but sometimes his mate intimidates him just a little bit too much.)

Speaking of pregnant people, though... The two of them were asleep in bed when Donghyuck's phone started going off. After the day the couple had, they were just hoping for some alone time in peace and quiet. After about 5 minutes of the phone going off, Donghyuck lost his patience and rolled over to see who was bothering them in the middle of the night. When he saw the collar ID read that it was his brother calling, Donghyuck immediately picked it up. He knew that if his brother called him, that must mean something wrong with the baby. And while his brother wasn't due for about another month, Taeil and Jungwoo said there was a good chance that the baby could come early.

Picking up the phone, Donghyuck could feel his stomach knot in anxiety. He felt Mark shift behind him on the bed but didn't pay much attention to it. "Hello, Hyung?" Donghyuck asked as he picked up the phone. "Hyuck?" Johnny asked him. And wait a minute...Johnny? "Johnny Hyung?" Donghyuck asked, slightly worried. "Where's Taeyong-Hyung?" He asked him. "He's currently resting in bed, riding out the contractions," Johnny told him. "They started earlier today, and we've been waiting until they got close to tell anybody." He said. "Now they're close, really close." The alpha said. "Yong threw his phone at me and told me to call everyone and say it went time." He said. And Donghyuck could hear the smile in his voice. This was it! He's going to be an uncle! "Really?!" Donghyuck asked him. "Yep, Hyuckie, this is it; you and Mark-ah better get over here quickly; I don't know how much longer we have until we have to go to the medical wing." He said. "We'll be right there!" Donghyuck said as he hung up the phone. This is the happiest he's felt all month!
