 Chapter 18- The Final Showdown

Kun and Ten were the first ones to break down the door. Everyone didn't know that the two of them had already been on the way to see Doyoung before the alarm sounded. Kun got an alert on his phone that something was wrong about 10 seconds after they heard the gunshots. The two mates made their way silently down the hallway with their guns drawn, prepared for danger. They realized what was happening when they got to just outside the beta's office door.

The two heard raised voices coming from the other side of the door. Kun could make out Doyoung, Jaehyun, Lucas, and Agent Park's voices? The beta was confused here for a moment. Why would Park be in Doyoung's office? Even though Park and Young's father are best friends, Doyoung hates the man's guts. The two of them never were able to get along and avoided each other at all costs. So it makes no sense for the elder alpha to be in the office. When they got closer, the two could clearly hear what was happening.

"Why?" They heard "Agent Park say. Both of them were confused for a second at that. While the older agent was friends with Doyoung's father, the beta was that fond of him and never really had anything to do with them.." Because it was fun," Daewon told him. "Because you have taken everything that I have ever wanted in life from me, and I got to take great pleasure in seeing all of your hard work go down the drain and got paid heavily for it." He told him. That's when it clicked in their minds. Park was the Mole.

"Why, Daewon, you're my best friend," Yunho said. "We've been through everything together." He said. "You were the best man at my wedding." He said. "You're Doyoung and Jungwoo's Godfather!" He shouted. "And you've been plotting to kill them and their friends all this time?!" He asked. Ten and Kun just stood there in shock. All this time, it was Park. Kun didn't need to look directly at his mate to know how pissed off the omega was at this. If Park was the Mole, that meant he was behind everything that happened to them. The kidnapping and Hansol's murder it was all Park.

"You've gotten every promotion I've ever wanted," Daewon said. "You got the perfect mate and family I've always dreamed of, everything," Daewon said. "I figured it would be time to get revenge on you." He said. Kun and Ten exchanged a look, and the beta slipped out his phone and sent a text to Taeyong.

Kun: It's Park. He's the Mole. Get to Doyoung's Office now.

Once that was done, the two lovers shared a knowing look at each other. They sent out an SOS to accompany Doyoung but needed a game plan. Their teams and their boss were currently being held captive, and one of them was shot. Even though they knew as soon as Taeyong got the text, the cavalry would be coming in, guns blazing and hell-raising. But they didn't like leaving things up to chance until Taeyong could get here with everyone else to even the playing field. So they needed to come up with a plan or at least a distraction to buy them all some time. They're not really sure who's hurt or how bad. And they really don't want to go in flying blind here. They needed some sort of plan.

Slinking down the hallway a bit to get them out of the earshot of the people in the office, the two lovers crouched down to get out of the way. It took them a couple of seconds before either one started to talk. "What's the plan?" Ten asked softly as the two of them were catching their breath. It's been a hell of an hour, and both of them know that it will only get worse.

Kun had to think for a moment about what to do. He had to be careful where to go from here. Park was very unstable and dangerous, and he had some of their teammates held hostage. And while it shouldn't be that hard to overpower him in theory, the older agent had a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Kun wouldn't put it past him to have some sort of explosive strapped to his chest and was ready to detonate it the moment they walked in. They had to be careful here. The best way to get this out is to take him by surprise.
