Jimin was circling the build to his dorm's apartments, a leash held loosely in his hand. At his side, Mickey walked with a bounce to his step. The dog's tongue flapped happily as he sniffed around to find the perfect spot to take care of his business.

Jimin was asked to watch Mickey while Hoseok had returned home for the short, four-long day fall break from school the semester. Hoseok said Mickey didn't enjoy traveling, as it made him very anxious, and the trip home would be over four hours. And despite how badly Hoseok needed his dog for his emotional support, he cared more about his pet's happiness than his own.

Jimin gladly agreed, using it as an excuse not to return home for the next few days. He'd been looking for an excuse anyway, so when Sungho texted Jimin, asking what time he'd be back, Jimin swiftly replied that he had to watch after his roommate's pet.

Sungho was, of course, displeased. Jimin ended up receiving a bunch of calls from Nari and his step grandmother saying how disappointed they were that he wasn't prioritizing his family over his roommate. Jimin sent both of them to voicemail. He didn't feel the need to explain himself further to them, nor indulge in their attention-seeking ways.

Jimin rounded the corner and began making his way back to the front entrance. Mickey still hadn't gone, however, so he strolled past the door and headed for the nearby courtyard. Mickey walked cheerfully beside him, the little Shih Tzu more than pleased to spend time out in the autumn sun.

The breeze was gentle but chill and it ruffled Jimin's hair. His roots had begun to grow out, but he hadn't thought about dying his hair recently. He had other things on his mind.

Jimin strolled the sidewalk of the courtyard, ignoring the eyes that were drawn to him. The number of stares and attention Jimin had initially received when first transferring had definitely died down, but they hadn't gone away completely. Many students also caught him and Taehyung entering the cafe campus and him leaving with Seokjin earlier that week, so many rumors about him and the Kims were starting to fly around.

He tried not to let it bother him. He was the one to purposeful flaunt around campus to attract attention. Combined with the Kims' popularity, people were bound to find out that something was going on.

"I like your puppy."

Jimin glanced over, saying, "Thank you," to the student sitting on the bench he was walking by.

Jimin froze when he saw Min Yoongi sitting there. The boy that always followed Kang Jinwoon around, even though he never seemed happy to be there. He'd offered a few pitiful passing glances whenever they crossed paths, which was only during the times Jinwoon would go out of his way to taunt Jimin. In those times, he'd never once heard Yoongi speak.

His voice was much deeper and huskier than Jimin expected. His face was round, pale, and sweet-looking. His hair was fluffy and soft, and his clothing was dark and baggy. He seemed like a shy and soft type. His voice didn't quite line up with his appearance.

Jimin's eyes darted around, looking for Jinwoon. If Yoongi was here, then Kang had to be around terrorizing someone, right?
