The private plane was spacious and gave us plenty of privacy. I sat between Sofia and Simon while everyone else spread out.

"How long is the flight again," asked Sofia while chewing on her finger nail.

I hate that she does that. She's eighteen years old and five foot five with long dark brown hair. Her eyes are chocolate brown, tiny, freckled, pug nose with thin frowny lips. I thought she was beautiful both inside and out. She didn't agree. She was wearing a light pink sundress with brown strappy sandals.

"It's six hours and please stop chewing your nails," I said, watching her in disgust.

"Ugh, I'm so bored. Let's watch a movie," she said, putting her hand down.

"In a minute," I said. "Simon, can you clue us in on our security protocols?" I asked hopefully. "I mean, can I go to school with minimal guards?"

"Everybody listen up," Simon said. "From here until the conclusion of our trip Joyana will be referred to as Diana Winters. No one is to give out her true identity for any reason. Assignments are, Rachel, Warren and Lucas, you will be posing as new students and will attend all classes with the princess. The rest of you will report to the gamma, in the alpha's absence, for guard posts around the school. The alpha will place his own warriors around the school as well under the guise of an impending attack."

Rachel was twenty one years old but looked as though she were sixteen. She was quite tall at six foot. Her red hair is styled in a short pixie cut with bangs. She has soft blue eyes with a wide mouth. She has been my personal guard for three years now. I trusted her with my life.

Warren and Lucas were nineteen year old twins. They were my newest guards, but I know they will fit in well with the students.
They were both six foot two wearing their red hair in a quiff haircut, carelessly messy on top. Both were exceedingly handsome with warm brown eyes, large button noses and full natural lips.

"What will you be doing, Simon?" I asked, giving him a wink.

"I will be attending classes with you of course," Simon said with a grin. "That's all for now. Return to whatever you were doing."

"Movie time?" Sofia asked.

"Just a minute. Simon, do you think there are others who could pose as students?" I asked, looking at Simon.

"There are a few, but I don't think it's necessary," Simon said. "It's best not to have too many people following you around at your request."

As much as I would like to think I have everything under control, the fact of the matter is I was nervous. This was my last year to find someone. If my dream was correct, this was also the place where I would meet my mate. I turn eighteen in a month and my wolf would be coming in or out. I didn't know how that worked either.

"Simon, what's a mate and how do you recognize one?" I asked

"A what? A mate? Those don't exist anymore," Simon said looking confused. "The Moon Goddess did away with them centuries ago. No one really knows how to recognize one. Though I did read something somewhere that said they smelled good and their touch was like fireworks, whatever that means. There really isn't much written about them so all that's left is speculation. I mean it was 200 years ago. I suppose if we found an old library or something we would find a book or two on the subject. Why do you ask?" Simon responded.

What's all this talk about mates over here?" Gabriella asked, sauntering over. " There's a ton of stories online about them. They're fictional but I'm sure there's some truth in there somewhere. I'll text you some sites."
