Author's note: The picture is of Joyana's wedding dress.

We made our way down to the kitchen. I got a tuna melt with fries and a chocolate shake. While he got a burger with fries with a beer.

"I don't know how you eat those things without cheese," I said.

"I prefer the taste of meat and the cheese is overpowering," he said.

Warren came into the room saying, "Viktor I think we've had a breakthrough. We found a loophole in the Alpha command. One of the men knows sign language. We're looking for Kyle who is fluent."

"That's great news. Let me finish up here and I'll be down," Viktor said.

"I want to go too," I said.

"No. You don't need to see that," he said.

"But she already saw what we were doing," Warren said. " She did pretty well herself."

"See," I said. "It's not a problem."

Warren left. Viktor looked pissed. I don't see what the big deal was. I've interrogated people before.

"What's the big deal?" I asked.

"I already told you," he said. "I don't want you to see something like that. You wouldn't approve."

"What are you torturing the guys or something?" I asked.

Viktor just continued to eat his burger.

"You are, aren't you?" I asked.

"We're doing what 's necessary to get answers," he said. "You wouldn't like it but it's working."

I got up and made my way down to the dungeons with Viktor hot on my heels. I opened the door and made my way down.

"Why can't you just trust me," he said.

"I do," I said. "Just because I won't like or approve doesn't mean I don't want to hear what he has to say first hand."

I entered room and immediately vomited. They were hanging by their arms covered in blood. The smell was disgusting. A mix of sweat, urine, and defecation. How could anyone stand it.

Put them down.

Why?

If the problem is with an Alpha command, lifting them by their arms isn't going to help.

It won't hurt either.

I gave him a severe look.

"Put them down guys," Viktor said.

Lucas started to balk, saying, "but this is working. Why stop now?"

"As it was pointed out to me, the problem is because of an Alpha command. There's no need for that. The interpreter is on the way."

"What is your name?" I asked the man closest to me, the average sized one."

He spelled out Albert. I told them his name.

"Albert, are you willing to help us?" I asked.

He knocked his hand in the sign for yes.

"I didn't know you knew sign language," Lucas said.

"I don't. Just the alphabet, yes and no and a few curse words," I said. "Albert, do you have a family member who is deaf?"

He did the sign for yes.

"Is it a sibling?"

Sign for no.

"Is it your spouse?"
