The next day was uneventful. Gabriella was asked to stay after English class so she was late meeting us in the cafeteria for lunch. Warren escorted her, of course. I told Scott the plan to meet at the pack house and then we can decide what we do. We exchanged numbers in case something came up. Brett invited himself, making me feel rude for leaving him out.

Training had gotten a little more interesting. Instead of just throwing punches, we learned to add kicks as well. Gabriella was actually improving. She could not only throw a punch, but she had strength behind it too. I was proud of myself for learning a three hit combo, punch punch kick. Seth was a very good teacher. Gamma Teresa also came in to help. She mostly worked with Gabriella. They seem to have become friends.

That night we had dinner with the Alpha. Instead of being questioned, we shared pleasantries. He even showed us where the library was located so we could try to look up books on mates. He had a lot of old texts. Some of them were hard to read but we found something that mentioned mates. It didn't say a lot about it, mostly talking about the mate bond. Apparently, when you have a mate bond, you can feel what your mate is feelings. Strong couples could mindlink over great distances. Some could even send images to each other. I wondered if I would have a strong mate bond when I eventually found my mate.

With Saturday here, I had to get ready for my not date/date. I decided to wear a purple slip dress and Sofia helped me with my hair and makeup. I didn't want to be too dressed up so she gave me a natural look with matte rose gold lipstick and she curled my hair for me. All I had to do was wait for Scott to come. I was trying not to feel nervous.

I sent a quick text to Scott.

Me: Are you almost here?

Scott: I'm leaving my house now. I should be there in 30 minutes.

Me: Okay. see you then.

I don't know why I'm so nervous. Scott was so easy to get along with. Conversations were never stilted. This should be an easy, breezy hangout. Sofia and Gabriella were going to keep Brett occupied so I could have some alone time with Scott.

I heard the doorbell ring and I ran down the stairs to answer. There was Brett standing on the other side of the door. I led him into the recreation room where Sofia and Gabriella were waiting for him. Ten minutes later, Scott showed up. I went to greet him with a hug then brought him to the recreation room

"So, what do you have planned for the day?" He asked.

"I figured we could decide together," I said smiling.

"Oh, well, do you want to watch a movie?" He asked

"Sure," I said sitting on the couch. He sat next to me and I grabbed the remote, scrolling through Netflix. Gabriella, Sofia and Brett took turns playing pool.

Halfway through the Adam Sandler movie, Scott put his arm around me. After a while, I grabbed his hand, interlocking our fingers so I could pull him closer. He looked at me and then leaned in for a kiss. I checked that no one was looking then kissed him back. It was a sweet kiss. I smiled pulling away.

"Was that your first kiss?" He asked.

"No, but it was the sweetest," I said.

He smiled then leaned in for another. This kiss is more demanding. I opened my mouth to deepen the kiss and he rose to the occasion. Suddenly we heard, "ew, gross. It looks like he's trying to eat her face." We turn around and see Brett, Sofia and Gabrielle all staring at us. Brett held a disgusted look while Gabriella and Sofia were smiling. We turned around to continue watching our movie.
