Author's note: The picture is of Isabel.
I shook her hand. This was weird.
"Why are you in Australia and how did you know she'd be here? I asked them.
"I'm in Australia because I'm on the run," Isabel said.
"And I knew she'd be here because the Moon Goddess told me," Ian said.
"See, that right there, the Moon Goddess. That's exactly why I'm running," Isabel said.
"So you're not running from Ian," I asked.
"I'm running from everything that has to do with the Moon Goddess and I know exactly who you are Joyana. You are not going to get me to be part of this. I stand alone and that's how it's going to stay," Isabel said.
"But you're my mate," Ian said.
"Mates don't exist," she said
"Look at her neck," he said
"That doesn't prove anything," she said.
"If we marked and mated you would have a similar tattoo," he said.
"That's not a tattoo. It's a bite mark," she said
"No bite mark will do that. That's the mark of true mates. Like they are, like we are like everybody on that line is. We must help them connect with their mates and we must protect you Joyana. That is our task, our tasks from the Moon Goddess," he said.
"Yeah but she doesn't really tell you anything. It's like 'oh here's a girl you have to protect her.' 'Oh you'll meet your mate here' but what is that saying? Nothing. A lot of nothing and I'm just not going to do that," she said.
"Well you both seem to have the gift of gab. That's one thing you have in common," I said.
"I'm not looking for similarities with him. I just want him to go away," she said.
"Who are those five wolves," I asked.
"My family. They've been looking for me too but I showed them. I can slip away. I can even go invisible but don't tell them," she said.
"You can go invisible with your clothes on?" I asked.
"Yeah. I think it's a radius. I never really tried to push it further than my own body but who knows maybe I can make us all invisible. I'm very fast. Too quick, nimble and invisible," she said.
"Sounds like you're one talented lady," I said.
"Thank you but flattery is not going to get you anywhere. I am not joining up with you,"
"Then don't. I don't care. I only came here to help you and Ian," I said.
"Now you can go home because he is not going to be my mate either," I said.
"Fine you can carry on with your... nimble self I didn't want to stay here anyway," I said, turning to leave.
"No, you have to help me. The Moon Goddess kind of said you would help me get my mate. She didn't say find my mate. She said get my mate and I need to get my mate so I need your help," he said.
"She doesn't want anything to do with you. What do you expect me to do?" I asked.
"I don't know. Work your magic. Put a curse on her. Do the voodoo that you do. Aren't you a princess? Just command her. Command her to be with me," he said.
"I will do no such thing. Viktor let's go," I said.
"Seriously, you guys just going to leave me here?" She asked.
