Chapter 47

I took Hannah with me to visit Blue Moon. Amari and Bobby were doing a great job. The entire pack was happy with my choice. Amari, it turns out, has the power to calm people. Just being around him can soothe you.

I didn't come here for that though. Viktor was finally too busy to watch what I did in the backyard. First I gave Hannah to Amara to watch. Then I checked the garden. I did find a patch of dirt that was risen. 

I took off my clothes and shifted. I began digging in that area. After four feet and finding nothing, I put the dirt back.

Tessa, can you help me find the boy?

Of course.

I gave Tessa control and she sniffed all around the yard. Just when I was about to give up, she indicated under a shed that was erected in an odd spot of center from the middle of the yard.

Tessa moved the shed with her body then began digging. It didn't take long to find the first body. It was the little boy. Under him was his sister and his mother. I cried out. How could someone do something so horrible? There were still ropes around their necks.

What's happening? Why are you in pain?

I found them, Viktor. They're all dead. Murdered.

You found who?

The Jacobsons. They're all dead. Even the mother.

What? Show me.

I showed him what they looked like in their grave.

Get out of there. Cover up the bodies and go. Take everyone with you.

Tessa helped me move the shed back as I sobbed uncontrollably. I went into the pack house and told everyone to return to Shadow Moon which they did.

As soon as we got back to Shadow Moon I ran into Viktor's arms and cried my heart out.
He held me until I stopped.

"I can't unsee it, it was like seeing me and the kids down there," I said.

"That's never going to happen," he said. "Don't you ever worry about that. You know what Ezra said? He said 'mommy found those people under the shed and then the bad man hit her.' We didn't let that happen.

"You really shouldn't change the future," I said. "Something worse could happen to balance things out."

"There was no way I was going to let someone attack you," he said.

"Now we'll just have to find this bad man," I said.

Viktor, Liam, Camille and Bobby took some warriors and returned to the Blue Moon pack.
The bodies were exhumed and Viktor arranged for them to get proper burials.

The murderer was identified as the man who had talked me into giving them an Alpha. It turns out he was serious when he said he didn't want the six year old Alpha. No surprise he was put to death as were his co-conspirators of which there were ten.

The Blue Moon pack had a lot of evil on their hands, but not all of them are guilty. Most of them were just regular wolves trying to live their lives. I can't understand how so much evil can come from one pack.

Amara and Amari decided to get married and raise Joey. They were going to stay permanently at Blue Moon which got Viktor thinking about his own pack. Since Ezra couldn't be King, Viktor decided he would become Alpha as soon as he was of age. Liam did not mind in the least. He was not looking forward to Viktor leaving. He did not want to be Alpha.
