Sometimes I felt like the world was against me and that was true

Since the day of my birth, the entire world was against me, because of my bloodline. Detering, my father was named a traitor for deserting his troop but I knew it wasn't him. It was because, unlike the others, he hadn't developed the hard, cold exterior that lacked the emotion that replaced their boyish personalities.

But no, I wasn't going to die just because the world was brought to hate me. No, I was going to live and breathe.

and I was going to fight for my happy ending with my mother and Prince William, Duke of Wales.

A faint light shone, I blinked trying to block out the light, suddenly the door creaked open but I had no strength to move since the night before. My breathing was stuck in my throat, the door opened a little wider,

a young girl, carrying a bucket stepped in. Her hair was a soft deep brown, like the tails of the Andalusians in Spain. Her eyes were a striking brown and bore a resemblance to my mother, Elena. I continue to lay there, my breathing was shallow, the girl peered around until I felt her eyes on me, and a small gasp came from her. She set down the bucket and took a few steps toward me. I blinked again and she moved back towards the door, picking up her bucket. She closed the heavy door. I blinked again and then my eyes slowed closed.

Memories came to me, all at once then one by one. In dreams, I saw my mother's smiling face, full of exhaustion but full of love. I reached out to touch her but I was back in another memory.

St Andrews, the university I first attended to get a proper education, I remembered the stone bricks, aged over time. The sweet smell of the flowers lined the university, little did I know that at that time I was to be groomed for the British royal family service.

That memory faded away again and then another one, however, it was dark, I glanced up and my breath caught, millions of stars outlined the night sky but it wasn't the stars that made me gasp.

There, stood Prince William, his suit outlined by the light, he still had his kind smile, his blonde hair, and sharp features. I took a step towards him but stopped. In his arms wrapped in a bundle was an infant, I moved closer. towards them. The infant had blue eyes, like William's, however, his hair was brown, like mine.

My son.

This infant that William was tenderly looking at was my future, mine and William's son, and the heir to the British throne. Someday Great Britain would be his country to rule when he grew up. My heart swelled with love at the sight of William and our son.

The stars slowly started to fade and then William and the bundle were fading too. I couldn't let them, I wanted to reach out and touch them but my vision was dark and I heard someone. I opened my eyes slowly, then shut them. Then I blinked again, I glanced around at my blurry surroundings. A face came into my field of view, he was an older man, his hair grey with a beard. He gave a thin smile,

"Your awake."
