Reader's Pov
Amelia's heart sinks to see the guy standing in front of her, lifting his hands upward, looking at her with a pair of blank eyes. Amelia's hands are trembling slightly to see her love standing in front of her, holding a pistol in his hand.
She looks beside Taehyung where Seokjin is slowly taking off his mask and Amelia becomes more surprised to see her professor standing there holding a gun and a sharp knife. Amelia gulps nervously.
Other hand, Taehyung's heart is beating like crazy to see the surprised look on Amelia's face. He never thought he was going to meet Amelia in this situation. He wanted to tell everything to Amelia. Show everything to Amelia but didn't want to meet her in this situation.
Amelia is unsure what to do, how should she react right now. Should she feel happy that she already didn't shoot Taehyung first hand or should she feel angry because Taehyung didn't tell anything to her?
"Inspector Hanson-" Inspector Kim So-Hyun calls out loud through the walkie-talkie to reach Amelia if she is doing okay or not and if she is able to catch Taehyung and Jin.
"Did you find them yet? Any clue? Is Kim Hyung Woon still alive or they killed him already?" So-Hyun asks worriedly and Amelia looks at the bed where Kim Hyung Woon is laying with his lifeless body.
"Amelia-" Seokjin finally calls out her name and Amelia takes a deep breath.
"Don't get it wrong, we all are doing this for our country-"
"Please shut your mouth, professor!" Amelia spats and Taehyung sucks a deep breath to see Amelia's angry face, he didn't want to meet her this way and it's breaking his heart in the worst possible way.
Taehyung closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He comes to a decision. He is going to surrender to Amelia. Amelia can arrest him or shoot him. It's totally up to her.
"You can arrest me-" Taehyung finally chimes out and looks at Amelia with hurtful eyes. All of the emotions are overflowing through her and she bites her lower lip hard. She sucks a deep breath.
She was aiming the pistol directly till now but after inhaling and exhaling a few times, she shakes her hand beside and directly shoots at the glass.
Taehyung's eyes become wide to see Amelia's action. He looks at the panorama window behind him and looks at Amelia again. Taehyung gulps again and again just to think about Amelia and what she is trying to do. "I am sorry, Inspector Kim. They already escaped from the room through the window and unfortunately they killed Kim Hyung Woon as well-" Amelia says through the walkie-talkie and Taehyung looks at her with so much emotion in his eyes. Seokjins reaction is the same as Taehyung's.
