Reader's Pov
"I need you to run one more time in the track-" Amelia bends down and clutches her knees and breathes heavily, almost her breath is getting away from her throat. The captain's words are making her more frustrated. Taehyung must be calling her as it's already 11.30 and Amelia didn’t even send him a single text let alone calling.
"Miss Hanson-"
"Yes, Captain-" Amelia gets up to stand properly and begins to run across the track. She ran and ran but didn’t stop as she had to prove to herself that she is not a weak girl. At the middle of the track when she wasn’t able to control her balance as she was running at so much speed, she was about to fall but someone grabbed her immediately. It's Captain Lee.
He wraps his hands around Amelia and prevents her from falling to the ground. She breathes heavily and clutches Joon-gi's arm tightly as she is dwell so suffocated as if she is going to pass out very soon.
"Miss Hanson-"
"I'm alright-" she breathes out and detaches herself from Joon-gi's grip, she begins to run again and after running for almost five minute straight, she reaches the last track. She falls into the ground and places her both hands above the ground for support. Breathing and panting heavily, she shifts her hands behind her back and places down on the ground again and leans backward.
Her mouth is hanging open, sweat is dripping down from her forehead, her hair is messy and soaking with her salty sweat. Captain Lee watches his stopwatch, then shifts his gaze towards stubborn Amelia who is already burning red because she already ran for one hour straight, her cheeks are literally burning and can burst anytime.
Captain Joon-gi becomes amazed to see Amelia's potential and determination towards her police training. She wipes her sweat by using her knuckle and waiting for her breath become normal, she has to stand for this whole night in the middle of the pond.
"You did a quite good job, I'm impressed, I must say-" Captain Joon-gi chuckles and Amelia lifts her head to see his bright face. She gulps and thinks for a moment about her cell to send a quick text to Taehyung, if she will ask for her mobile for a minute or not.
"Captain-" she gets up and wipes her pants. Captain Lee raises a brow to see Amelia's nervous face.
"You want to say something?" he asks with a small smile in his face and Amelia gulps again.
"May I get my mobile for a minute? Just for a minute, I promise-" she smiles at him. Hope he has become convinced by her words and give her back the mobile fast so that she can text Taehyung.
