Natasha's POV
It's been 3 days. . .
3 days since that happened. . . since something happened between me and Valerian and after that something changed between us.
His treatment towards me changed. He became gentle-- in the most gentlest way. And oftentimes, I find it weird. Not only because I'm not really that used to that kind of treatment towards me but especially because that kind of treatment is coming from a vampire named Valerian Fenrir-- the devil himself.
In my mind this is just part of the punishment Valerian is giving me for I don't know what reason but if this is a punishment, Valerian's actions right now doesn't seem like one.
Was it because something happened between us? Was that the reason? Probably yes, because there was no other reason for him to start treating me different— extra special.
I was just sitting on the chair facing the window, getting lost in my trail of thought when suddenly I heard three knocks on the door before it opened, revealing Valerian.
"Natasha," he called.
"What?" I replied, slightly raising my eyebrows.
Valerian creased his forehead, confused. As if asking me what's with my sudden attitude.
Honestly, I don't know too. I'm also confused by everything that is happening and my attitude just came out unknowingly.
"Come downstairs," he ordered then immediately went out of my room.
I heaved a breath before standing up and following him downstairs.
"What do you want to eat?" Valerian asked when I found him in the kitchen.
"I'm not hungry," I replied.
"You haven't eaten anything yet," he retorted.
"I'm not hungry, Valerian." I looked at him as I repeated what I just said. I didn't notice how I emphasized every word I have said until I already said it.
Valerian looked at me intently with his eyebrows furrowing.
I heaved a sigh.
"Just in case you forgot-- I'm a werewolf, Valerian. I don't really get hungry like humans usually do, and besides, we were always together these past days; I don't feel any sort of hunger or thirst because we were always so closed to each other," I suddenly explained to which made me want to hit myself because why would I even do that?
So what if I don't eat? What's it to him?
Valerian fell silent for a solid couple of seconds, he was just looking at me intently that I had to avert my gaze from his direction.
"Let's go," he said, making me looked at him again because it piqued my full attention.
"Where are we going?" I questioned.
"Office," he answered. "I have a lot of things to finish that will take all day, you will be alone here."
The confusion that I feel grew bigger.
See? This is what I was talking about when I said that Valerian's treatment towards me changed. He became more vocal, more caring.
I remember that I had to begged him to let me come with him to his office so I wouldn't spend all day by myself in his big mansion and now he's offering, willingly.
As much as I was confused, I stopped myself from saying something and just went out of the house and got inside his car.
Not too long after, he followed me and the next thing I know, we were already driving.
