Natasha's POV

Valerian would not tell me where we were going exactly, he just drove back to the hotel to get all of our things and checked out, and now we're at the port.

I even got sad for a second thinking we were already going home but he reassured me that we were not and we were only going somewhere which I guessed was far from here because we checked out of the hotel.

It's already dark at night outside but I can see a few boats and some kinds of sea vehicles tied at the dock.

"What are we doing here?" I can't help but ask. "Is it where you want to take me? Is this your surprise?"

Valerian looked at me like as if he couldn't believe me and everything that was coming out of my mouth. "Of course not, darling."

Okay, sorry but I don't mind having a date here at the port. What is his problem?

"Let's go," Valerian said and opened the car door at his side.

I did the same and followed him.

A chauffeur was waiting for us outside to whom Valerian gave his keys.

Valerian then unloaded all of our luggage from his car.

"Come here," Valerian called and so I walked to his side.

He held me by the waist as we walked and carried all of our luggage in one hand.

I don't know if he just wanted to hold me by the waist or if he just really meant to do that so he could carry all the luggage using only one hand and flex his strength.

Oh, this devil.

Valerian and I did a few minutes of walking until we reached the dock.

My eyes widened when I saw a yacht tied at the dock.

Oh gosh.

This is what I'm talking about when I said that every time Valerian pulled his phone out, I get surprised by how wealthy he is.

I've already witnessed how rich he was a little too many times but I still can't get used to it.

Well, you can't blame a woman who came and grew up in a small town that wasn't that innovative and only enough to give us our needs for daily life.

"You own that?" I asked, astonishment clearly visible in my voice.

Valerian nodded like it was no big deal. As always. He is always unbothered by the luxurious things that he owns unlike me who is always in shock.

Well, I'm sure he's already used to all of his wealth. He lived a hundred years of his life after all.

"Wow. . ." I could just mutter.

"This will be all yours soon, darling," Valerian told me.

I suddenly fell silent as we continued to walk at the dock toward the yacht.

He told me that I would have everything that he owned when we agreed to have a contract before but I also told him that I didn't want any of his wealth and all I wanted was his head. . .

I bit my lower lip.

Fuck this.

I said I wanted to enjoy this trip and make the most out of it but it seems like my mission won't let me be.

It really has a way of reminding me about my shitty reality.

"Natasha?"

I heard Valerian call my name, snapping me out of my trail of thoughts.
