Natasha's POV
The sun was already rising when we got home.
It was a long flight but Valerian and I were fully rested because of how comfortable the insides of his private jet were.
I got scared again when we got on the plane but Valerian never let go of my hand and never stopped reassuring me that everything would be okay and that I had nothing to be scared of.
I was scared for the first couple of minutes when the plane took off but I eventually got comfortable beside Valerian and the next thing I knew, I was not scared anymore. It was like, I was not even scared of the plane ever.
I was able to face my fear of the plane and I'm hoping that the fear of being home again and going back to reality of my life with Valerian will go away.
As soon as we were set at home, Valerian immediately told me that he had to go to his office. He asked me if I wanted to go with him but I refused because I knew he had a lot of work to do and I didn't want to get on his way.
"Drive safe," I told him as I waved my hands at him.
Valerian honked before finally driving away.
I just stood up by the gate as I watched Valerian's car fade out of my sight.
I sighed as I turned my back and got inside the gate.
"Natasha."
Just when I was about to close the gate, I heard a very familiar voice call my name.
I looked up and was completely stunned when I saw very familiar faces.
It's a face that I will never ever forget because I grew up with them.
"Draven, Urien." I gasped as I stared at my friends' faces, unable to believe that they were standing right in front of me.
"Oh, gosh! Draven, Urien!" I exclaimed as I opened up the gate again and ran towards them. I immediately wrapped my arms around both of them, hugging them-- confirming that they were really here standing in front of me-- right in front of Valerian's house.
My enthusiasm and my smile quickly faded away when I pulled myself away from them and saw that they didn't share the same enthusiasm as me.
"W-what happened? What are you two doing here? Where is Sayna?" I immediately asked.
"Where were you, Natasha?" Draven asked. His voice came out so cold. So far from the cheerful and always teasing Draven that I knew back at home.
"I--" I could not finish my sentence because I could not even form a single word to say because I can now feel that there's something wrong. Something is definitely not right.
"So, that was Valerian Fenrir, huh." Urien spits his words like poison. "The fucking demon."
I creased my forehead.
What?
"Seeing you smile at him makes me want to vomit with disgust, Natasha," Urien added.
I creased my forehead even further.
"What are you talking about, Urien?" I questioned, with so much confusion.
"You need to go home," Draven said coldly.
"What? Why? Does my father know that you two are here? What's going on?"
"We have been looking for you for weeks already, Natasha. But you weren't here. Both of you and the demon."
"Why?"
I'm so lost right now. First, Sayna left the town to see me and now they are here and I don't even know what they are talking about and why they seem mad at me.
