Natasha's POV
I took a deep breath as I stared at the ceiling.
Valerian is lying down beside me and he is quiet.
We have both been quiet since we got back to our villa from the restaurant.
He managed to calm me down and stopped me from crying earlier at the restaurant by promising me a lot of things like he would fix everything for me and I believe him. I genuinely believed that he would do that.
I started to trust Valerian unknowingly and I'm glad that I do.
We had a quiet and peaceful dinner and when we got to our villa, no one said anything.
I was quiet so was Valerian.
A lot of thoughts running through my head and Valerian seemed like he was thinking deeply about something too.
"How are you feeling?" he suddenly asked beside me.
"Good," I answered. My voice came out hoarse because of all the crying that I had done earlier.
Embarrassment started to form in me upon realizing what I had done earlier.
I refused to believe that I broke down in front of him and it was even in public but then again, I'm thankful that I did because if I did not, I will forever have these unsaid words and fear in my heart.
I'm somehow reassured knowing that Valerian knew about what I feel and my worries-- even though I haven't clearly told him what I truly feel for him. One step at a time.
"You should get some rest, darling."
I just nodded and did not say anything anymore.
I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.
My heart feels heavy and light at the same time.
All I know right now is that I am hoping that Valerian will be truly real in his words and that he will not disappoint me because I trust him.
I put my trust in him.

It was already bright outside when I woke up.
I looked at the wall clock and saw that it was already 10:30 in the morning.
"Good morning, love." I heard Valerian speak beside me.
I turned to face him. He was reading a book.
"You haven't gotten up yet?" I asked.
He shook his head. "I was waiting for you to wake up."
I bit my lower lip.
"You must have been so bored," I spoke in a low voice.
"Staring at your beauty will never ever bore me."
I could not help but smile at Valerian's voice so I quickly moved towards him and buried my face at his neck.
He immediately caressed my hair.
"Can we go to the beach today?" I requested.
I woke up feeling light today and I want to enjoy the day.
Whatever happened last night, stays at last night.
"Of course, darling."
I grinned.
"But, I have bad news."
My smile immediately faded away upon hearing about what Valerian said.
"We have to go home, darling."
