STEVIE COLE NEVER REALLY liked romeo rafael, she always felt guilty too. when he would kiss her she didn't feel anything, the butterfly in her was still a caterpillar and a lazy one too.

maybe she liked the idea of being liked, or maybe she loved it. stevie never understood how much she truly needed love until she started feeling different towards chris.

it wasn't that she craved the feeling, she needed it.

the whole in her heart that was empty ever since the girl was seven was begging to be filled by someone who truly looked at her.

she loved everything about love.

the flowers, the kisses, the hugs, the i like you, the dates, the late night chats, the everything.

stephanie cole was drained from love her whole life that it hits her in the face every few days.

it wasn't like she didn't cry herself to sleep when romeo gave her flowers and she wanted to give them back, it's not like when owen hugged her she didn't feel anything because of the smell of his cologne, it's not like she didn't feel guilty when romeo confessed his love for her and she replied with, "i love cake."

stevie was a wreck and everyone saw that, she tried to hide it with her liquid blush, or the concealer maybe the new lip liner that shaped her lips perfectly, but everyone knew stevie was a wreck.

no one could blame her though, her childhood was messed the fuck up.

if stephanie odette cole could go back in time and give her little self her childhood back, she would.

life was too harsh on the girl.

and maybe the whole chris and stevie best friends to lovers was fun, but it's all fun and games until someone looses their mind.

and she lost hers.

walking down the stairs of the house she heard giggles coming from the living room.

nic, matt, chris and odette sat on the couches.

"hey." nic smiles as she sets herself down.

stevie looks around softly seeing matt not looking at the others, her eyes shift to the table.

her clarence face mask jar sat opened.

stevie leaped and grabbed it only for it to be empty.

her eyes finally ditch to odette and chris, and there the girl sat with the white mask smeared on her face.

"who used the last of my face mask." stevie asks already knowing the answer.

"oh uh odette did, she wanted to try it out." chris points to the girl who smiles.

"why would you use all of it?" the brunette furrows her brows trying her best to sound polite.

"there wasn't a lot anyway i thought you wouldn't want the rest." odette shrugs while giggling, why the fuck was she laughing.

"this is really expensive." stevie mumbles closing the jar softly.

"it's not that much." odette smirks.

"it's only like ninety bucks." she rolls her eyes.

stevie cole looks up at her, the fucking nerve of this bitch is real.

"that's expensive." matt adds from behind his best friend.

"come on it's not a big deal just get a new one." chris places his hand on odettes shoulders.

"this was sent to me by clarence." stevies stated.

"i'm sorry but it wasn't nice anyway the second i put a drop on my face it burnt." odette clicks her tongue.

stevie grits her teeth clenching her knuckles around the jar.

"then why did you use all of it." the brunette throws the empty box in the bin going for the table once more.

"where're the watermelon jolly ranchers." she asks skimming through the bowl of sweets.

matt and nic wince slightly knowing the answer.

"i thought there were tons you know where they went." stevie questions kneeling down next to trevor.

"oh i'm sorry." odette giggles.

did this girl want everything stevie has.

"i only like the watermelon ones." she smiles.

stephanie sighs plopping next to matt closing her eyes as riverdale starts playing.

"why're we watching this shit show?" her eyes re open with disgust.

"odette loves the show." chris smiles.

"could we watch something else." stevie asks.

"no." chris simply stated.

hahaha, stevie was gonna kill them.

no seriously, they better run.

"okay!" her hands fall to her side.

"i guess i'll make some fucking peanut butter sandwiches." she sarcastically stated while getting up and walking over to the kitchen trev following.

"i mean who does she think she is." stevie groans putting the ramen in the hot water.

"oops sorry, i just used your billion dollar skin product." she mimics her voice while complaining to trevor.

"like i don't want her here anymore." she mumbles turning her body to the dog.

"no trev!" she screams as he's chewing on a bright pink bag.

"stop it!" her hands fly to the leather as it was sort of torn up.

"what happened." the others come running in at the ruckus.

"oh my god!" odette slams her palms to her mouth grabbing her purse.

"my bag!" she yells.

stevie silently and secretly fist bumps trev.

"bad dog!" odette points her finger at him.

"no your the bad dog!" stevie steps in front of him.

"don't talk to him like that." the brunette grabs trev.

"look at what he did! my bag is ruined." she sobs out.

"it's expensive!"

stevie smirks softly.

"it's not that expensive it's only two hundred bucks." she quotes her own words.

odette macauly went home trying to fix her bag.

"you knew what you where doing you little snake." she smiles at the dog who turned his head to the side.

stevie steps into her room talking off her shirt and standing in front of the mirror.

she hates.

she looks in the mirror and pinched the skin on her stomach and thighs.

odette is prettier than her, she thinks. and she has curvier hips, and is both big and small in all the right places.

stevie didn't think she was any of those things.

so she hates.

not odette, because it wasn't her fault.

but it wasn't stevies fault either but yet here she was.
