My FiFi

Twenty Five

I didn't plan for any of this to happen but it just did, I can't teach myself to fall in love with another or fall out of love for FiFi but it doesn't mean I should miss out on all fun that comes with adulthood

I am happy at the moment and every time I try to think about FiFi I just drink more alcohol, it helps me to forget temporarily the love wreck I am

Kiara hosted us for two days and I speak for myself when I say we had so much fun everything was consensual and everyone was living their truth except me of course

Am here because am hiding from my true self, the shadow of my heart on fire is terrifying and I don't want to relive that experience
Kiara looks me in the eye and calls me perfect

So am here with people who care less about what the world has to say about them camping together  and drinking to stupor , there was no running out of alcohol at this point, you can drink all you want and still top up when you are feeling a little sober

Kiara had invited a few of her friends so Desmond wasn't on his own the whole time we explored our desires and enjoy the best part about freedom

On Sunday evening we went back to the house with one aim only to get enough sleep, barely two hours into my sleep the doorbell was ringing nonstop

Even though this is the most alcohol have ever consumed, I am still very present very conscious so if I leave that door to Desmond who is dead asleep the bell is going to ring out of battery and am sure this must be one of his battalions

I opened the door and the last person I was expecting to see was standing outside

"FiFi!" I exclaimed

"Oh thank God Olly, I thought I was never going to find you"

"How! What are you doing here "
FiFi can only be here for two things because she's in trouble or coz she needs my help

"Am here for you dummy. Can I come in?"

"No!" I answered immediately stepping out to the corridor and shutting the door
"I mean not right now, you can't come in now"

"Why not "
Coz it's plain and simple

"Desmond lives here FiFi and I don't want to complicate things any further "

"Letting me inside the apartment you share with my brother is going to complicate things . How!"

"You know how it is FiFi, Des doesn't even know you are in Lagos and you guys ain't exactly buddies so let's just leave it that ;
So what's up why are you so late, did something happen "
I had to ask coz all this display of concern must be for a reason

"Oh well I haven't been able to reach you in two days and I've been so worried "

Did I hear right? Did she just say she was worried
Oh well as she should I would be totally restless if I can't reach her in two days

"I've been busy "

"Is that so"
I raised my brow

"Well I got a call from your mon , she said she's still waiting for me to do the video that you spoke about ,that I know absolutely nothing about. I had to play along coz I don't want her to notice that you have been slacking "

"I wasn't slacking, I just haven't had the time to talk plus I am still waiting for the package "

"The package was here this morning but because you were no where to be found the courier took it back"

"Don't worry . I'll get it back. Is that all?"

"I don't know you tell me, you've been distant since Friday you left in an awkward manner and I haven't heard from you since "
