My isolation period lasted for three days before I broke out of it, FiFi asking me to leave her alone was so hurtful,

I don't think it justifies what happened because I was only trying to help, it's not like I knew this would happen

I have locked myself in my room only sneaking out to grab an apple from the fridge. I really cannot deal with the Archibong siblings when am so messed up by their elder sister

Why is it so easy for FiFi to shut me out?
It's like restricting my air flow
It's not fair that's she is so comfortable living without me while I barely struggle to get by each day without her

I was laying awake on my bed when my mom decided to call me on FaceTime.
I quickly throw on a shirt , brush my hair and wash my face

The first call ended but I was able to meet up with the second, there's not enough time to shave my beards but I'll be dealing with a lot more if I don't pick up her calls rather than shaving my beards

"Hey mama!" I plastered a fake grin on my face

"Hello son! How are you?"

"Very well ma, and you?"

"A little bit here and there "

"Are you in the shop"

"Nah am at home , am not going in today "

"Why? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah! Everything's okay, am just a little under the weather "

"Ohhh have you seen a doctor "

"Well am on medications "

"Without seeing a doctor "

"It was prescribed by a pharmacist so am hoping that it will knock off by evening. Enough about me son. How are you doing. How's everything over there "

"Everything's fine mama, am worried about you are you sure you are taking good care of yourself?"

"Of course I am, the only problem I have is that you are not here with me to give mama a big hug"

"Well I am sending you lots of hugs and kisses and hope you get well soon "

"Thank you son, so now that you are finally done with your NYSC program, what next?"

"Everything mama"

"Like what"

"I don't know.am not quite sure "

"Do you have any plans or is there a particular sector you're looking to get into"

"Well am not sure about it yet "

"So you don't have any plans " I shook my head
"Wow son, I really don't expect you to be completely clueless about what next especially when you have important life decisions to make "

"I know mama but what's the rush. I just finished service, I really need to take my time with these things "

"Oh please don't be ridiculous son, you had a whole year to think about it because if you think you can hide behind that peanut they paid you all through the service you're wrong and now more than ever you need to be Ready for what is about to come"

"I guess am going to figure it out eventually "

"Indeed but I might as well spell it out for you.
It is either you you go back to United States or you come back to Port harcourt "

"Why?"

"There's nothing there for you , absolutely nothing holding back so I need you to come back here or move forward "
