My FiFi

Twenty Seven

Director Buchi called us on Friday that was extra four days I spent wondering if I had just shot myself in the foot

When he called he was sounding very skeptical, he wanted us to fly to asaba immediately and  despite my busy schedules I made out time to be there for FiFi

I told her about it and she was pretty excited that we are finally getting a role, the trip to asaba was from our own pockets, well mine coz I wouldn't tell FiFi that I literally begged the director to give us this role

We arrived at asaba and he gave us the location for the movie but he didn't make provision for accommodation so we had to lodge into an hotel on our account . My account

We are supposed to rest for the night and  resume first thing tomorrow coz they had already started the play and we are the only ones drawing them back

The hotel I booked wasn't too fancy infact it was just okay , I have a lot to work on and not enough money so we try to make do with what we can afford

I got a single room for us and I did that because of the cost of booking two rooms besides we don't know how long we'll be staying here, the director wouldn't say he just said to come prepared

Besides staying in the same room as FiFi shouldn't be a problem, I mean I have camped her in my bedroom for over about three nights and we actually had a great time

Thankfully FiFi did her shopping from her own purse. With the extra money coming from her endorsement with my mom's company and her last gig am sure she still had enough to run by , I can't exactly tell her how to spend her money, she worked for it so it her choice to spend it however she wants

Immediately we got to the room I was already regretting the whole idea of economizing, the room was so tiny and the bed barely big enough
Maybe a 4by 6 

This is definitely not what I had in mind
I should have figured out a way to get more money

"This is quite small" FiFi looked round the square room

"I know am sorry I thought their standard room would be a little more of standard "

"Well it's okay it's not too bad,"

"You don't have to be nice I know it's not convenient "

"Trust me I've seen worse , I went for a role one time and we were camped in one small house like over Thirty of us , some of us had to sleep on the floor"

"You slept on the floor "

"No a nice guy let me share the couch with him but he snores loudly and I could barely get any sleep from the vibration "

I cracked

"Well am sorry about this but am going to work on it , I promise "

"Don't worry Olly , you are my macho man I know you try to give me your best all the time but sometimes it doesn't have to be perfect . I'll take it because I appreciate you always "

I grinned broadly
This is FiFi trying to make me feel better for wanting to give her the best
This is one of the sweetest things she does that makes me feel so blessed to have her

"Alright am going to take a shower so pls order something for us to eat "

"What would you like"

"Anything to go with cranberry juice pls "

"Yes ma'am "
