My boss and I were on a conference call, he was checking up on me and seeing if everything was going fine on my end

I had an ongoing project and I was showing him how far I've gone with it

"So basically Mr Hanstrup this is going to be the route that leads to the ground floor . The mall is going to subject the entire corners to proper accessibility, and The underground parking space and the checkpoint terminal "

"And what's the size of each terminal "

"Let's say 6by6 coz we are looking to have about four terminals "

"Hmm" my boss sighed
"This is looking really good Macaulay, am impressed by this. I like how you interlocked all entrances not to congest the walkway . And the attraction point in the middle, that's just brilliant. Am sure our clients will be blown away by this presentation"

"Before the end of Today sir, I'll just input the finishing touches and send it to you"

The door bell have been ringing for awhile now and I was hoping it would go away but it was persistent and I had to quickly wrap up the meeting

"If that is all sir I'll like to get back to work "

"Alright take your time you've done so well"
He hung up and I got off the dining to see who was at the door

When I got there whoever it was had gone and was already heading down the stairs. I didn't bother to call after the person, am still wearing a shirt and tie over my boxers , I had to be former for my meeting and I don't want anyone to see me like this

I am not expecting anyone , am sure it must be one of Desmond's breeds of lousy annoying friends

I went back inside to continue with my work

The next day Kiara came to take me out for breakfast, she picked me up and we dined at this nice restaurant

While she was going on and on about everything on her side , I was slowly fading in and out of the conversation

I keep ignoring the pain in my chest
I know it's not for the health condition
This is from something far more complex
It's like my heart is crushed and it bleeding

I want to see her even if it is just a glimpse
The only thing that kept me from running to her apartment the moment I got out of the hospital is the bit of pride I still have left

I was feeling itchy and uncomfortable sitting here with Kiara talking about herself

"Olisa!" She called out and I was suddenly conscious of my surroundings

"Yeah sure, why'd you ask?"
Is it written on my face that am going through hell

"I don't know, you are acting really strange, you haven't even touched your food. If you don't like it they can bring something else for you "

"No! That won't be necessary.Am not really hungry "

"You should eat something, I didn't bring you to breakfast so you can just stare at me"
