Chapter 20: An Unexpected Reunion

I sighed as I got in the Uber.

"Where to?" He asked.

I sighed, "Dominos."

"Alrighty!" He started driving.

I don't know why I chose Dominos.... Maybe because it's been a while since I've had pizza.... All I've really been eating is Japanese cuisines....

I stared out the window and looked at my hometown. Wow.... It really has changed....

"Actually....." I say. "I'll stop from here."

He stopped by the sidewalk.

I gave him his money and closed the car door.

I walked down the sidewalk and looked around me. There were people everywhere. I stopped when I heard someone's voice..... Where have I heard it before?

"Won't you look at that?" I turned around to see who was speaking.

"Y/n, you come to visit and not even say 'hi' to me?" They said.

"B/n?"

"S/n told me you're a detective now." My brother said, looking at me. We were still walking on the sidewalk.

"Yup..."

"She also told me you have a... boyfriend.." He glared at me.

"H-he's not my boyfriend! He's my co-worker. He just a friend."

"Name?"

"Dazai."

"Job?"

"Didn't I tell you he's my co-worker?"

"Favorite food."

"How would I know?"

"What's his goal in life?"

"U-um... How can I put it...."

"Yes?" He was waiting for an answer.

"Oh, look! We're here." I say and walk inside Domino's.

"One takeout, please." I tell the cashier.

"We're not done with this discussion." B/n told me.

I grabbed the pizza box and looked at my brother.

"Yes, we are." I say and walk out of the store.

"What are you doing?"

"Calling an Uber." I say, with my phone in one hand.

Once the Uber came. I jumped inside.

"I want to meet this, "Dazai".

"No."

He got in the car anyway.

"Where to?" The driver asked.

You tried your best to run as fast as you can to your room before your brother could.

"Ha! Loser!" I exclaim and run inside the room, locking the door behind me.

"What's going on?" Dazai asked, looking up from his book.

I set the pizza box on the nearby counter and pushed Dazai into a closet.

"What are you-"

"Thank me later." I slammed the closet door shut.

By the time I did, B/n had lock picked the door.

"See, he's not here." I say with my hands crossed.

"You sure?" He asked while looking around.
