Chapter 38: The Scariest Month of The Year

I walk inside the agency and see Halloween decorations everywhere.

September had already passed, like, really quickly.

"What's with this?" I look at F/n.

"Halloween! What else?!" She exclaims.

I look at the date: October 7th.

"Oh, it's October already?" I say. "Why have I not noticed? It's been a week of this month..."

"I already have all the plans!" F/n says.

"Oh, you do?" I say.

"Yup!" She exclaims. "Everyone will spin a wheel and figure out what they will be dressed up as!"

"Okay.... Is that all?" I say, sitting at my desk, typing on my computer.

"Nope!" She says and walks over to me. "We're going to a haunted house~"

I stop typing and look at her.

"NO!" I shout, "ANYTHING. ANYTHING BUT THAT!"

"I know you're terrified of haunted houses...." F/n slowly says, patting my shoulder, "But they're all fake. Besides, it's nice to get over your worst fear.."

I shake my head. "I refuse."

~Atsushi's Pov:~
I see Dazai look up from his desk, listening to Y/n and F/n.

"What's wrong with haunted houses?" I ask Y/n.

"Everything." She says, "Everything."

"But you're always watching scary movies, or horror documentaries." Dazai joins in.

"It's all fun and games until you're in the scary movie." Y/n mumbles. "The jump scares are real...all. real. They just chase you around with chainsaws.... They show no mercy on your scared self...."

I slowly looked at my computer and went back to work.

~Back to Y/n's Pov:~
"Just think about it?" F/n asks me.

I sigh. "I'll think about it..."

~Time Skip~
I finally finish my work and sigh in relief.

"Meeting in 2 minutes!" F/n says and walks inside the meeting room.

I walk inside and see a wheel.

You're kidding me.

Everyone sits down.

"Okay! For Halloween, everyone will spin the wheel to choose what costume they will wear."

"What if we don't want to?..." Atsushi asks.

"Then I'll have you fired." Fukuzawa says with his arms crossed.

"Y-yes sir!" Atsushi says nervously.

"Okay, Y/n! You're first!" F/n says.

I get up from my seat and spin the wheel.

I watch the wheel land on a word.

Witch.

"Okay, Kunikida you're next!"

~Time Skip~
The results were: Me as a witch, Kunikida as an evil doctor, Dazai as a vampire, Ranpo as a skeleton, Junichiro and Naomi were both being pirates, Atsushi as a demon slayer character, B/n as a zombie, Akiko as little red riding hood, Kenji as a police officer, Kyouka as Alice, from Alice in Wonderland. F/n as a dead school girl, and Mr. Fukuzawa as a regular doctor.

"Well, that settles it!" F/n says.

"Okay, everyone." Fukuzawa looks at us, "Back to work."
