Chapter 113: Unexpected Invitation

I walked out the door with Dazai beside me.

"Hey, Y/n!" I heard someone say.

I saw Atsushi. "Oh, Atsushi?"

He stopped in front of us, "Y/n, I need your help with something."

"Sure. What is it?" I asked.

"Akutagawa challenged me to fight him in 6 months. I was wondering if you could help me train."

"Oh, yeah I-"

"No." Dazai cut me off.

"Huh?" I looked at him, "Why not?"

"If you're helping Atsushi train, you're most likely going to have to use your Red Wired Room ability to fight him. I'm not taking that chance." He looked at me.

"I'm sure I'm able to fight Atsushi without it."

"Actually," Atsushi said.

I looked at him.

"you might need to use your defense mode to fight me. I need to be my best to fight Akutagawa."

"No. Sorry, Atsushi. But she won't-"

"I will." I said.

"But, Y/n-"

"I'll be fine, Osamu."

"Alright, I'll meet you on the side of the apartments." Atsushi said.

"Okay." I said.

Atsushi was walking away. Dazai looked at me.

"Y/n, you're in bad condition enough already. Your palm is still bleeding."

He wasn't lying. My palm that I cut two days ago still bleeds out of nowhere.. But I'm not going to take the risk and tell Akiko about it. I'm not in the mood for treatment from her.

"It's fine." I said, "I just need to keep it clean and have it wrapped in a bandage."

Dazai sighed, "Okay. But I'm staying by you the whole time."

"Okay."

I saw Atsushi standing beside the apartments. He waved at me.

I gave him a small wave and walked over to him.

"Alright, so how long have you been training?" I asked.

"Kunikida has been teaching me some fighting techniques." Atsushi said.

"Okay." I grabbed my pocket knife. "Wait a minute.." I remembered something.

"Huh?"

"I just remembered I can do defense mode without being unconscious.." I mumbled, "Maybe I should try it..."

No. I'm not better at fighting than being unconscious.

"Nevermind." I said, I cut my arm. "Ready?"

"Ready." Atsushi had a determined look on his face.

"Dark Web: The Red Wired Room."

Wow. Same room.

"Welcome, Ability User: Y/n L/n." The voice greeted me.

"Activate defense mode. But don't kill the target."

"Who is the target?"

"Atsushi Nakajima."

"Loading files of Atsushi Nakajima..." A screen formed in front of me and showed what looked like Atsushi's files with a picture of him, "Atsushi Nakajima, ability: Beast Beneath The Moonlight." The screen faded away. "Activating defense mode.."
