Chapter 67: C/n's First Day

I wake up and see S/n in a sleeping bag near a corner.

I get up and take a shower. I get ready for work.

I finished getting ready and wake up S/n.

"Hey, wake up." I say.

She doesn't budge.

"S/n." I say.

Nothing.

"S/n?"

I flicked her forehead, "S/n!"

"Ow!" She sat up.

"Wake up." I say. "I'm going to work."

"Oh, what do I do?" She asked.

"I don't know. Find C/n or something. He's at B/n and Ranpo's apartment."

"Ranpo?"

"He's my other co-worker." I explain.

"Oh, so everyone you work with live in these apartments?" S/n asks.

"Pretty much." I say.

"Where is B/n's apartment?" She asked.

"Get dressed and I'll show you." I say.

~Time Skip~
I knock on the door.

Ranpo opens it.

"Good morning, Ranpo." I say.

He looks at S/n, "That must be S/n."

"Yup." I say, "Where's C/n?"

"Oh, your cousin? He stayed in my room. Me and that kid just get each other."

"But you don't know English..." I say.

"Sure I do! Poe taught me some of it!" He said. "I assume you know who that is?"

"Yup."

"Alright, he's still asleep." Ranpo lets us inside.

We walk inside and I go to Ranpo's room.

"Hey, C/n." I poke his head.

He wakes up. "Oh, hi, Y/n! Your friend, Ranpo is nice!"

"That's good to hear!" I smile.

"What are we doing today?" He asks.

"Well," I sigh, "Right now, I have to go to work."

"What?" He said, "But I mostly wanted to see you.."

I look at Ranpo, "Would Mr. Fukuzawa be okay with me bringing C/n?"

"I'll convince him somehow." He said, "Besides, I'm gonna want someone to entertain me at work."

I look at C/n. "You can tag along."

He smiled.

"Hey, what about me?" S/n asked.

".....I might know someone at the cafe. She probably knows English. She's from North America."

"Oh, really? Who?"

"Lucy Montgomery."

Me, Ranpo, B/n, C/n, and S/n walked away from the apartments.

"Hey, Y/n!" I hear someone say, "Good morning!"

I turn around and see Dazai.

"Oh, good morning, Dazai!" I wave.

He catches up to me. "Why are those two coming with us?" He asked.

"Oh, I thought it would be fine if I took C/n to work with me. I haven't seen that kid in a while. I told S/n about Lucy. They'll probably get along."
