Chapter 81: February

It was finally the first day of February. I was typing on my computer.

"Guess what?~" F/n was beside my desk.

I stopped typing and looked at her.

"Yokohama's having a ball at the city hall!" She smiled.

"Oh, they are?"

"Yes! It's going to be on Valentine's day! Once I heard about the news, I already made a date to buy dresses and get ready!"

"Oh, you did?"

"Yup! In a week! You'll be tagging along so I can help you with dresses!"

"I'm fine with that." I say, "So...in a week?"

She nodded.

"You're awfully excited about this." I say.

"Of course I am! I haven't been to a dance in years!" She said, "I forgot what it's like."

"Yeah, it's been a while for me too." I say. "Wait, so this is a Valentine's Ball?"

"Yes. I'm sure they got the whole decorations with hearts and everything. So original." She sighed, "But I'm still excited!"

"Yeah, I guess I am." I say.

"Wait... It's been a while since you've danced hasn't it?" She asked.

"Yup..." I mumbled, "I'm not sure if I still can."

"I'm sure you can! You used to be the best dancer I knew!"

"I was?"

"Of course you were." She said, "You were so fast with your feet others couldn't keep up."

I go back to typing on my computer. "Where exactly will we be shopping?"

"I know a few stores." She smirked and walked away.

I continued typing on my computer.

Since when was I good at dancing?

I hear someone roll their chair to me.

"Yes, Dazai?" I was still looking at my computer.

"I didn't know you're a good dancer."

"I'm not that good. F/n's probably over exaggerating."

"When was the last time you danced?"

"I'm not sure.."

Maybe the last time I danced was when I was in college or something..

I was still typing.

He sighed and looked at my computer, "What are you working on anyway?"

"A report about the cases we've done last month." I say while still typing.

"Hmmm.... Do you want to-"

"Dazai." Kunikida said, "Me and you are going on a job. C'mon."

Dazai sighed, "Fine, Kunikida."

He got up and followed Kunikida out the door.

What was he going to ask?

Probably nothing important.
