The whole restaurant suddenly felt completely quiet. More than that, it felt silent, like you could hear a pin drop, but the only sound a blonde musician was currently hearing was the beating of his own heart in his ears.People often tell you that they understand what you've been through, that they know how you feel, but most times that's not true, but the greenett beside him does know how he feels, more than most anyways.
The situation might not be exactly the same, but the feeling of hurt and betrayal was. Their situations were so similar, even if the details were different.
The blondes mind is twisting as he sits with an ache in his chest that's not only for him, but for the male sitting next to him.
He wants to say something, but he's struggling to say anything at the moment.
Izuku looks over at the blonde whos eyes are not meeting his own but instead are on his glass that's resting on the sleek black bar table.
There's a furrow in Katsuki's brow like he's thinking, his jaw is clenched and the look in his eyes tells Izuku his mind is on something or someone who hurt him badly.
Suddenly the greenett is afraid he said too much.
A frown tugs at a pretty fair complexion, worry on his features now.
" I'm.. I'm sorry Kacchan, have I made you upset or uncomfortable? I didn't mean to do that I just want to let you know that..."
Crimson eyes finally shift to concerned emerald jade ones, ones with concern in them that he hasn't seen for a long time.
He forces a slight smile with a head shake.
" I'm not upset Deku, at least not with what you said, I mean, I'm sorry you had to go through that shit because I know how hard it is, how fucking painful it is. I'm just.." , he pauses eyes downcast at emerald eyes study him.
" I'm just not that good with words sometimes. I know that sounds like bullshit considering I fucking write songs for a living but, actually saying what's on my mind has never been easy for me, it's the reason I got involved with music in the first place."
Izuku smiles softly.
" I can understand that, that makes sense to me. I don't want you to feel like you even have to say anything or share anything if you didn't want to, I guess I just wanted you to know that you aren't alone and that if you ever do want to.. you know talk or something, I can be here for you"
Crimson eyes glance up taking in eyes that are so genuine it almost fucking hurts.
There's an ache when he looks into those endless green eyes, one he's not even sure of the reason for, but it scares him, that much he does know, because those green eyes and the one they belong to are dangerous.
He nods at Izuku finally, a slight smirk on his face as he takes a long sip of his whiskey then stands sliding into his leather jacket while green eyes look up at him.
" Maybe I'll take you up on that one day, but not tonight. I'm going to get going, thanks for the drink.. and the company"
With that he starts to walk away fixing the orange scarf around his neck, but before he vanishes out of sight completely he stops, turning his head to the side.
" Oi. That guy who hurt you was a fucking idiot. He obviously didn't know what he had when he had it."
Izuku isn't sure if his heart just stopped in his chest or sped up, it feels like both.
He smiles with a light blush on his cheeks.
" And I don't need to know the story to know that the same thing goes for the guy who hurt you"
