"Hey, Adam. Can you give me some clue about today's training? You're a member of Genesis after all. You must know something," I spat out with a hint of playfulness, breaking the silence between us.

"I don't know. Don't talk to me." He replied coldly. I can almost see the word 'impatient' written across his face. Napakibit balikat na lamang ako at hindi na muling nagsalita. This guy, what did I do to receive his hate?

Napahikab ako dahil sa antok na bumabalot sa aking katawan. Nitong mga nakaraang araw ay hindi ako makatulog ng maayos. Not that I ever slept peacefully in the palace but these days, it had worsened to a terrible degree. I pulled my lips into a mocking smile. "Of course, that includes the entirety of your clan." I retaliated with an equally brutal honesty.

With that, a small chuckle escaped my lips. "My apologies then, Young Master Rivers. Please don't mind my words. Like you said, I'm a pretentious person. You mustn't take my words seriously."

I hid my amusement behind a blank expression. Your family isn't like the rest of Gaia clan, huh? So you admit that your clan is filled with manipulative people. How funny.
