"Okay, help me get this straight

"Okay, help me get this straight. Eddie's uncle Wayne thinks that Victor Creel escaped from Pennhurst Asylum and that he's the one running around Hawkins committing all these murders?" Robin asks Nancy as we head into Hawkins public library for intel.

"Pretty much." Nancy confirms, walking up to the front desk and dinging the help bell.

"But Victor committed the eyeball murders like, waayy back in the 50's."

"Well, '59." Nancy corrects and Robin hums softly.

"Soo that means these murders predate Eleven and the upside down by about thirty years?"

"Yup." Nancy says tightly, ringing the bell again.

"Which makes spooky Victor Creel like 70 years old..." Robin rambles as Nancy continued to ding the bell impatiently, clearly over this conversation.

"Yep!"

"So he's a grandpa murderer who can lift people in the air with his mind and crunch all of their bones..." I add, leaning my forearms against the desk and thinking about a scary old man with superpowers. It's kinda funny.

"It doesn't make sense, I know. That's why I said it was a shot in the dark."  Nancy explains and I nod in understanding.

"No need to explain Nancy, any lead is a good one right now when we have absolutely nothing to go off of." I tell her supportively and she gives me a small thankful smile.

"We are like snipers with blindfolds on who've been spun around like fifty times." Robin comments and I chuckle softly at her analogy.

"Robin, you're word vomiting again." I tell the blonde and she immediately shuts her mouth with a flustered smile.

"Coming!" The receptionist finally answers our bell ringing, walking towards us with a big box of papers.

"Hi sorry, we're in a bit of a rush, could we get the keys to the basement archives?" Nancy asks hurriedly and I send the receptionist a kind smile as she looks between us three with an odd look.

"Of course, give me one sec." The lady tells us, going to get the key from the back.

"Did I come off mean or condescending or something?" Robin asks boldly, causing Nancy to fluster at the confrontation.

"No!" Nancy denies, her voice high and eyes wide.

"Right, sorry. It's just, you seem annoyed. You don't know me very well, I really don't have a filter or a strong grasp of social cues."  Robin tells her jokingly, but Nancy just nods uncomfortably.

"She's right, she really doesn't." I add with an apologetic smile, trying not to make things awkward.

"So just know that I know it's a flaw. Believe me, my mother reminds me daily." Robin continues and Nancy just nods with a tight lipped smile.
