Choosing an outfit was the hardest. I knew that it wasn't dinner with his family, but somehow the idea of eating at his house made me feel like I needed to dress up. Sighing, I smoothed the purple dress down, hoping that it didn't show too much skin. I had decided to wear purple because the color was nice against my skin tone. No one was home when Harry came to get me, the curly-haired boy grinning when he saw me.
"You always look so fine."
"Thank you."
"No, thank you."
Blushing, I took his hand in mine, the two of us quiet on the short ride to his house. I had made my parents believe that I was going to Ella's for the night, so I would be able to sleep at Harry's. Of course, I doubted that we would end up doing anything terrible, especially after what had happened last night. Which, this morning Harry seemed to try his hardest to make me smile, so I knew he didn't really care. Or, he didn't seem like he minded that I had fallen asleep while crying. Once we got to his house, Harry opened the door for me, a smile on his face as he helped me out of his car. We both headed up to his front door after he locked the car, Harry allowing me into his home. Whatever he was cooking smelled great, and I was curious as to what exactly he was making.
"I decided on shredded chicken tacos," he stated, leading me to the kitchen. "Hopefully that's okay. I know you sometimes don't eat certain foods because of—"
"Harry, it's fine. Thank you for doing this."
"I still feel like shit," he told me honestly. "You didn't say exactly what was wrong, but I made you cry."
"It's fine."
"No, it really isn't. I made you upset last night."
"Harry, if I was upset with you, I wouldn't be here. It was just a bad memory."
He shook his head. "I wanted to fucking kill him today. It had to deal with him."
"Harry, it's fine. He didn't force anything to happen that night. I swear. It's just something with Angelo, that's all."
I could tell he was absolutely furious, my fingers playing with his. It calmed him down slowly, one of my hands letting go of his. I cupped his face, brushing my thumb along his cheek before pulling him down to me. Harry kissed me back when our lips met, his free hand holding onto my waist. I smiled against his mouth when he squeezed my hip, Harry pulling back and smiling.
"You're my favorite human."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah. You mean so much to me."
Blushing, I let him take me to the kitchen. He had me get the sour cream out of the fridge while he made our tacos, carrying both plates to the table. I had gotten us drinks also, Harry and I eating a little bit before we started talking.
"So, um, I was thinking we could watch a movie after this."
"Yeah," I agreed. "Do you have Finding Nemo by chance? I love that movie. Have you ever seen that movie? I know you said you didn't watch Disney as a kid. I mean, it's also Pixar, but still."
"I watched it maybe once when I was ten. It was in school though."
"Finding Nemo it is."
He chuckled, the two of us eating our tacos and discussing how Noah and Emily were the cutest children without a doubt. Although, I did explain to Harry that my aunt was supposed to have a kid at some point, so that might end up changing. He shrugged, saying he was pretty sure that no one could surpass his niece and nephew, except maybe his brother-in-law's sister's baby. It wasn't until I had changed into a T-shirt of mine and shorts that Harry and I got comfortable. We were lying in his bed, Harry and I watching Finding Nemo. I liked watching his face at certain parts, but he would just cover my eyes, or lightly push my face the other way.
