Harry was on his way to my house. It was already prom, and I felt like everything was going way too fast. Within the next week and a half, it would be my birthday, and then after that Harry would be graduating. Time was slipping through our fingertips, and I was anxious thinking about him going to college. He would be leaving in early July to work out with the baseball team, and I knew it was because the head coach really wanted Harry pitching for them this upcoming year.
The thought was pushed off when there was a knock on the door, my father heading to get it quickly. Ethan was sitting on the sofa in a tux, his — girlfriend? — on the couch beside him. I still didn't understand how he had finally decided to stick to one of the girls he had been having sex with, but brushed the thought off, standing up when Harry walked in.
"Holy fuck," Harry cursed, my dad raising his eyebrows at the boy. "You look stunning. "You're such an extra ass," I told him, walking over and playing with the material of his sparkly pale blue suit. "You really didn't have to buy this."
"I know. But I wanted to."
Rolling my eyes at him, I pressed a kiss to his lips. Harry smiled when I pulled back, his hands resting on my waist easily. After about a minute of us just kind of looking over the other, my dad asked Harry and I to follow him. We headed upstairs to his office, Harry and I glancing at each other before looking at my dad. He sat down in his chair, opening a side drawer and setting a folder on the table. I watched as he flipped it open, turning it around.
"Now, your mother and I thought about this for a while, Nicole," my father started. "We discussed it, and figured out that we both trust Harry a lot."
"Okay, but what does this map of Los Angeles have to do with that?" I asked.
"Your mother and I agreed that we would let you and Harry stay in a hotel for two nights together. Since there is no school on Monday, we figured you'd come home that day."
Did I hear him correctly? He had literally gotten us a hotel room to stay the night in by ourselves? The very idea of that was not only insane, but also incredible. I found myself shaking my head, not truly believing what he had said to us.
"Wait, you really did that?" Harry asked. "You are going to let me take your daughter to a hotel room so we can be by ourselves? "The ground rules are that you use protection, and that both of you check in with your parents. Anne was hesitant on this, Harry, but I used my lawyer skills to sway her. Also, she has a soft spot for my daughter."
"That's why I have a crush on you," Harry grinned. "You're always doing the most for me. I guess the whole thing with my mom liking Nicole works out also."
"I try," my dad shrugged. "Anyway, I don't know if you want to pack a bag then before you leave, Nicole? Harry?"
"Well, Nicole, you can pack a bag now, and we can just grab clothes for me on the way to LA," Harry suggested.
"Whatever works," I agreed. "I don't mind. "Go get some clothes, I'll meet you there in a second."
Nodding, I headed to my bedroom, grabbing a bag. I still was extremely shocked that my father had willingly purchased us a hotel for the evening, my face flushed as I picked my best underwear. Looking over the bathing suits I had, I decided to be confident, choosing a two piece that had a lower waist line. Grabbing a one piece just in case, I made sure to grab regular clothes as well as a nicer outfit, not exactly certain what we would be doing for the time being in LA.
"Almost ready?" Harry asked.
"Will you grab my deodorant and stuff from the bathroom? I need my toothbrush, hair brush, and makeup. "Sure," he nodded.
