The next day, Harry had to run errands for his mother, so I was left at home doing nothing. The most I did was plan my outfit for the evening, but I didn't even start getting ready before about four. Harry was supposed to pick me up around five because we were apparently eating dinner in LA. I wasn't exactly sure why, but Harry said that Gemma wanted to eat somewhere specific where the restaurant knew them, but I just brushed off the thought.
I put on the cute dress I had bought a couple of weeks ago when I was out with my friends, never finding a use for it until now. It was a checkered black and white print, the dress having thin straps also. Once I was dressed, I put on makeup, putting on a pair of strappy heels. I then recalled that I would be around Emily and Noah, so I switched to a pair of cute boots, a knock sounding on my door once I finished putting on the shoes "Yeah?"
"Harry is here," I heard Ethan say, opening the door to see my brother. "He's waiting downstairs for you."
"Okay. Thank you, E."
He nodded, heading to his room. I was quick to grab my bag, walking downstairs to see Harry sitting on the sofa with my dad. Harry smiled at me, standing up quickly. I thought it was cute that we were kind of matching, the curly-haired boy wearing a black and white striped shirt. He had black jeans and boots on, his hand grasping mine so he could play with my bracelet.
"I like seeing this on you."
"I'm thankful that you bought it for me. He chuckled, pressing a quick kiss to my lips. I gave my dad a hug goodbye, Harry and I about to leave when my mother came practically sprinting out of the kitchen with her phone. She smiled at the both of us, opening the device quickly and telling us to stand next to each other.
"Just a quick picture!"
"How does one take a photo?" Harry asked, my face flushed when he hugged me from the side and wrapped one of his legs around me. "Is this right, Mrs. Coleman?"
"Harry, stop!" I laughed, my boyfriend grinning at me.
He put his leg down, wrapping his arm around me and smiling for my mom's camera. She thanked him, seeming amused by his behavior. I was about to start leaving when Harry pressed a kiss to my lips, my mother snapping a photo of that also. Pulling away, I glared at he curly-haired boy, a chuckle leaving his lips.
"I couldn't help myself."
"Uh-huh. Come on, we have a two hour car ride ."
I waved goodbye to my parents, Harry and I getting into the car. Anne said my mother had just sent her pictures of Harry and I, showing them to me after I had gotten buckled and Robin began to drive. Harry looked at them with me, the two of us laughing at the one when he had wrapped his leg around me.
"So, Harry said we're going to LA because Gemma has friends at the restaurant or something? "Peter and her get very concerned about restaurants they take Emily and Noah to. My grandson can be very loud, and Gemma really likes this taco place in LA."
"The place you took me?" I asked Harry.
He nodded. "Yeah, I guess. I wasn't sure where we were going until now."
Nodding, I listened to Anne talk about when she had first met Emily and Noah, both times sounding adorable. When she met Emily, it was right after Gemma had given birth, and her granddaughter had stopped crying in Anne's arms almost instantly. She didn't meet Noah right away because she had been at work, but when she did, she had picked up Emily and brought her to visit her baby brother. "Mm, how did Harry meet them?"
"I met Emily the same day you did," he told me softly. "Remember? You were all over me because I was holding a baby. Thinking back on it, I'm surprised Gemma left me unsupervised with her."
