"No Dad i'm not getting married to that guy you're talking about" Napatayo na ako sa inis. How can Dad do this to me? Kaya ba parang naawa si Kuya kanina? Kaya ba malungkot siya? This is unimaginable.
"You can't do anything about it Nadine! I know you don't have any relationship so you have nothing to worry!" sumisigaw na sabi ni Dad. Si Mom and Kuya nakikinig lang sa sagutan namin ni Dad. And they're actually agreeing with this? Then i'm on my own. I'm doomed alone.
"No Dad i actually can do something. Yeah i may not have a relationship but you're forcing me to marry a total stranger. That thought just frightened the hell out of me. So thanks for the offer but i'm totally declining it." inis at sarcastic na sagot ko sakanya.
"He is not a stranger, when you meet him you'll know and please stop being sarcastic about this!" Nakatayo nadin si Dad and galit na galit na. Ayaw na ayaw kase niya na kinokontra yung mga desisyon niya. Gusto niya pag sinabi niya gawin mo nalang pero damn future ko nakasalalay dito! We're talking about marriage! A fucking MARRIAGE!
"I'm being sarcastic because this whole thing seems like a joke. I mean how can you actually give your own daughter away?!" paalis na sana ako kaso hinawakan ni Mom yung kamay ko. She looks me with those pleading eyes of her.
"Baby please remember your Dad condition, hindi siya pwede maistress" naiiyak na sabe ni Mom. Si Kuya naman nilapitan na si Dad and pinapainom ng tubig. He sure look stress and i am depressed.
"Pati ba naman ikaw Mom? I thought sabe mo noon papabayaan niyo akong mahanap yung taong mahal ko at papaksalan ko? Eh ano to? Is this some prank or what?" inis na tanong ko. Naiinis na talaga ako! Bat ganyan sila? Naiiyak nadin ako sa sobrang inis. Bat hindi nila ako maintindihan?
"Nadine!" Sigaw ni Kuya na mukhang naiinis na sa sitawasyon namin.
"Pati ba naman ikaw Kuya? Lahat nalang ba kayo? Ayaw niyo ba akong sumaya?" paiyak na talaga ako. Pinipigilan ko lang. I just cant accept this fact. This ploy they want me to do. Arrange Marriage? Yeah right.
"We're doing this for you" mahinahon na sabi niya na inirapan ko lang.
"No Dad, you're doing this for your business! Damn business! Lagi nalang yan iniisip mo!" inis na sabi ko habang nakatingin sakanya na walang emosyon.
