Chapter 37

It was raining lightly and I love the rain so I put on pyjamas keeping manik's shirt in the laundry, walking downstairs I didnt see Manik but the gym lights were on so I knew he was in there but just to make sure I peaked in and saw him jogging on the treadmill so I walked to our backyard

Feeling the rain drops on my face calmed me down, becasue I could cry without being noticed the rain did a great job at hiding it. I sat down in a corner of the backyard with closed eyes feeling the rain, it was super windy and it was pouring now but I liked it, it was better than walking back in the house just to be reminded to 'fuck off'

I sat in the rain for hours, it was pitch black, I knew it was around 10 or 11 but I didnt really care I wanted to sit here the whole night. Half heartedly I walked inside drenched in the rain for about 6 hours, I looked at the oven light and it was 12 which doesn't surprise me one bit.

I walked upstairs and saw Manik shirtless on the bed with his laptop on his lap and glasses on, I walked to the bathroom grabbing clothes, he didnt even look up at me, trust me that hurt the most but keeping that aside I took a cold shower and even though it was freezing it just made me numb which is what I wanted at this point

I walked downstairs to the kitchen to make some dinner, I made roti, chawal and some rajma becasue its manik's favourite, ya call me fucked up making his favourite even when im hurt. Keeping that aside I made a plate for him and took it upstairs, he was in the same exact spot,

"Here, its super late and I know you must be hungry, its your favourite" I tried sounding cheerful

He looked up and then looked at the plate, "thanks" he mummbled and I put the plate in front of him

I walked back downstairs but he didnt say a single thing not a fucking single thing, I didnt even feel like eating but I have this really important meeting tom to show my designs so I have to

"Come on nandini get to it girl, It looks good too" I said giggling to myself as I put a few grains on rice on my plate and some rajma, I couldn't eat, im so used to eating with Manik that I couldn't, I made my way to the guest room where my huge teddy bear was

"Come on big boy, ya ya I finally found time for you sweetie oh whatever dont be so cranky ahh okay fine ill bring you up to our room okay but promise you won't mess around" I said as if he was talking back

"Oh ya ya telfie calm down I got you I wont drop you okay" I said putting the plate down on the table

"Ill take you first then come back for my plate cause you are a fat ass sir" I giggled at myself grabbing telfie, I dragged him up

"Holly you are heavy" I said as I reached upstairs, I dragged him inside and Manik looked up hearing me pant, I dragged telfie to my favourite corner

"Manik, this is telfie, telfie Manik" I said and ran downstair to the guest room. I grabbed my plate and reached back upstairs

I saw Manik had already finished his plate making me a little sad that he didnt wait for me but happy that he ate. I sat on the floor leaning on telfie looking out at the rain

"Dude mee too I know yar, umm hmm its funny but tunai dekha ni tha kya ladai hui un dono ki ya ya they did end up sath sath but you know it was weird but yessss yahi toh mai bol rahi hu" I spoke to telfie in a whispering voice

I couldn't even finish a few bites, those emotions that I was trying to push away kept coming back every few minutes looking at the rain, I took a breath and got up, I grabbed manik's plate as well, I washed them and closed the lights downstairs

Getting back to the room I saw Manik lying down, I brushed and laid next to telfie hugging him, I couldn't sleep even though my eyes were droopy I was tired but I couldn't sleep. I didnt have his warmth to sleep. I closed my eyes hoping I can sleep

Manik's pov

When she walked in the room drenched I noticed her but I didnt know what to say I was still fucking pissed not at nandini but at nyonika, she ruins everything and I mean everything.

She brought me dinner too, she sounder cheerful but I know she is upset that we argued, I need some time to clear my head before I can clear this misunderstanding. She even brought her teddy telfie upstairs by herself which is an accomplishment becasue the teddy is huge and heavy

I ate before she came back, yes I didnt wait for her, I felt fucking horrible for that but I didnt wanna argue or talk to her right now I just wanted to turn back time and not pick up the phone, it ruined our whole night. She sat with telfie eating while talking to talkie about god knows what

I closed my eyes putting my laptop away, I heard her coming in, she laid down beside telfie, half on telfie. I sighed seeing her so stubborn, I got up and picked her up from telfie

"Ahhh" she screamed fluttering her eyes open

"Just me nandini" I said and her eyes flickered back closing it hearing its me, I put her on the bed and she cuddled to my chest falling a sleep right away

"You are so stubborn mrs malhotra, when you know you cant sleep without me why even try" I mummbled to myself and closed the lights

Holding her waist tight I closed my eyes caressing her hair, I couldn't help think how much she means to me and the fact that I yelled at her becasue of nyonika, I didn't even realize the words I spoke, honestly I dont even remember them. She looked hurt when she gave me the plate of food, her eyes didnt glisten like they usually do.

Cursing myself under my breath fro torturing her and yelling her, "im sorry babe" I whispered to her and ya she is sleeping but I just wanted to get it off my chest, ill make it up to her tomorrow. Thinking about this I let my brain stop thinking and fell a sleep with Nandini and just nandini in my mind.
