Nandini's pov

I woke up feeling something heavy on my stomach, I tried moving it but quickly realized its manik's arm, wait what the fudge I slept on telfie, how the heck did I get here, probably Manik well ya has to be manik

I opened my eyes and turned towards manik who had his mouth slightly open, frowns on his forehead, a little bags under his eyes, I caressed his forehead and a cute smile appeared on his face, for a second I thought he was up but he was still sleeping

"You hurt me a lot yesterday like a whole lot but I know it wasn't supposed to be that way so I'm gonna forgive you, I can't stay mad at you long anyways but you cannot do this again, sound good" I said to a sleeping manik and kissed his lips making him move a little

I carefully moved his arm from my stomach to a pillow which he cuddled thinking its me making me smile, I looked at the time and fuckk im late shit shit, "manik manik get up you have a meeting in 40 minutes manikkkk" I said shaking him and he sprung up real quick

"Sorry" he mummbled holding his head

"You should be but not for this, now go shower in the guest room hurry we are so freaking late" I yelled and didn't look back I heard him groan a little though.

I quickly showered and came out in a jumpsuit, left my hair open because the hickeies mr malhotra left on my neck and shoulder on our wedding day are still here, and foundation or concealar whatever it is doesn't freaking work so yup.

I saw manik tying his shoes, he looked hot I swear everyday when he wears a 3 piece suit he looks so hot and sexy, Nandini you are mad at him remember mad at him

I grabbed my sandals putting them on I grabbed my purse and laptop, he grabbed his laptop and we headed out. I would have taken my car but I was already late and he would be fussy about it so I just sat in the car

"Nandini"

I hummed because I didnt know what to say to him, "listen I"

"Its okay I understand" I said before he could continue, his face fell and I really wanted to say more but I couldn't because I was genuinely hurt and I wasn't sure how to tell him that I am hurt without hurting him more

The rest of the way neither manik talked nor did I, as soon as we reached manbir industries manik had to attend a meeting in 5 minutes so as soon as we reached our cabin he was about to step out to the meeting hall but I grabbed his arm stopping him

He gave me a confused look raising his eyebrows, I moved closer to him putting my arms around his arms

"I know I shouldn't say this because of reasons known to both of us but I know you won't focus on the meeting so good luck manik and rock, I know you'll do amazing" I said and kissed his cheek, I felt his arms wrap around my waist

"Thank you babe" he said kissing my forehead and I moved away from him

"Go you'll be late" I said and he nodded, "we need to talk when I come back" he said and I nodded

I sat down, got adjusted for a bit until my meeting, then I went to the top floor in my actual cabin where I had my meeting for an hour or so.

Once the meeting was done I grabbed manik and I some breakfast becasue we didn't have any this morning, I was walking back from the canteen when I felt dizzy so I stopped walking for a second, once I felt better I started walking again.

I felt dizzy again and I don't know what happened next as darkness consumed me.

Manik's pov

"Thank you" I said after presenting the approach and mr meheta got up and shook my hand

"Deal's on mr malhotra, I would like to include two of my men in the project as well" he said

"That shouldn't be a problem" I said and he nodded

"Sir" I heard someone coming in pissing me off because I hate when someone disturbs the meeting even though we were almost down

"Yes" I said irritated

"Umm nandini mamm"

"Nandini what" I said as the person gained all my attention

"She umm", "whatttt just out with it is she okay" I sort of yelled

"She fainted umm I" I didnt need to hear more

I ran out of the meeting hall towards our cabin, when I reached there a group of people were crowding the couch

"EVERYONE OUTTT, ARUN GET ME A DOCTOR NOW AND I MEAN NOWWW" I yelled seeing my pa

He quickly nodded and ran out of the cabin and the rest of the people trickled out, I saw cabir next to her, she looked pale

"What the fuck happened manik, she is burning" cabir yelled at me

"Shitttt she was in the rain for hours" I mumbled

"You fucker I told you take care of her, three days, three fucking days and she is unconscious wow that's great" he yelled sarcastically

"Im sorry, yell at me later" I said sitting next to her, I caressed her forehead and cheek, she was really warm like burning hot

Tears rolled down my cheeks, how could I not care, how could I just ignore her being drenched, how could I risk her health over a fucking argument. I let her down, I let my world down, I ignored her and hurt her.

"Mr malhotra im going to need you to move" I heard the doctor and I immediately moved, he checked her and stood up

"Is she okay" I asked

"She has really high fever, I have the prescription here, give it to her until the fever comes down, other than that she should be okay" he said and I nodded
