"Aur ice cream du" I asked and he pouted, "Han tum bhi yahi bolo, jau meko bat hi ni Karni" and here comes the baby malhotra
"Acha sorry baba, come here" I said and he put his head on my shoulder
"I want you" he whispered making me look around to see if anyone noticed but they were busy talking
"Manik shh" he giggled at my reaction and reply
"Nandini do you have plans for tonight" I heard aryman
"Yes in fact she does" manik replied before I could
"Well you are sick, she isnt gonna sit here and take care of you like a child, you have 2 legs and arms, she doesnt need to be running around wiping your nose, you are an adult" he said and I was about to throw hands
"Aryman you are pushing your limits with me" I said
"Im really not Nandini, just becasue you two are married doesnt mean you have to baby him, he is an adult not a child. He is acting like a 2 year old. You deserve to enjoy your life, so will you come out with me, not a date just hanging out tonight" he said and I cannot believe this
"Aryman as much as I respect you as a professional and maybe a friend, I am not free to hang out tonight alone. I have my husband whom I need to be with, I have two other best friends who haven't asked me to leave my husband and hang out with them even though I havent seen them in a few days. So understand this I want to take care of him not becasue I have to but becasue I want to. He can act like a 2 year old, a 40 year old or an infant I am going to just like this with him and he can feel free to be like this with me. I do not want you disrespecting my husband or my relationships" I said and he looked annoyed
"I apologize but I think you'll understand it one day nandini, manik is very restrictive in his ways" he said and I shook my head
"I didnt ask for your comments" I was getting pissed
"You guys are really cute" harshad said making me smile
"Thank you sir" I replied, he remind me of a brother. He laughed hearing my reply
"Nandini you are adorable, ahh you remind me of my little baby cousin" he said and I smiled, "well ill be your sister yar rakhi lai zada paise mil jayangai" I said and he laughed
"I dont mind you tying me rakhi" he said and I smiled
"Lo byi ek aur Bhai mil gaya chal thank god yar yeh bohot paise leti hai mujhsai rakhi pai" cabir said and I smacked his arm
Everyone started talking while I couldn't help but notice how silent Manik was, he had his eyes closed resting his head back on the couch. I knew what aryamn said bothered him even though it shouldn't have, but I know he is thinking a lot
"Manik" I said softly caressing his hair, he hummed
"Do you wanna go on a walk with me" I asked and he shook his head making me sigh
"Y'all have fun, manik and I are going on a walk" I said
"Wow fun, lets all go" said aryman making me roll my eyes but I dint wanna argue
Everyone got ready and met back in the living room in 5 minutes, I grabbed manik a jacket even though he didn't utter a single word or come to the room with me.
"Before be go take this' I said handing him a pill which he took without cribbing or making me hold his hand which he does all the time
"Manik what's going on" I asked but he didnt say anything and before I could further everyone came out
We headed towards the beach, I took my sandals off and held them in my hand, holding maniks hand with the other hand but he wiggled his hand out going to cabir
I sighed seeing him walking away but I shook my thoughts away and walked to wards the beach, everyone was walking around, manik was laughing talking to cabir, making me smile
"Are you okay" I heard sanjana's voice making me turn back
"Yes I'm good thank you for asking" I said and she nodded running away to manik and cabir
She is sorta sweet, I mean I shouldn't worry too much about her throwing herself at manik, cause who cares I know he loves me. I walk along the waterline until I spotted a little shell, getting excited I picked it up, it was in the shape of a heart
I put it in my romper pocket to show manik later because right now he doesn't wanna really talk let alone talk he doesnt even wanna be near me which is fine I guess. I walked to the very end and then I sat down on dry sand watching the sun setting, it reminded me of Paris when manik and I used to sit in the balcony and watch the sun go down or in out backyard back home
"Nandini what are you doing here" I heard cabin's voice
"Nothing, come sit, its so peaceful and look at the sun" I said patting the place beside me
"I know he is getting worked up with random things but don't leave him alone like that" he said sitting beside me
"Hehe dont worry I know" I said giggling
"I just wanted to watch the sunset, it had nothing to do with manik or you or the stupid argument, just needed a few minutes to breath to myself" I said and he nodded smiling
"Mera Bacha bohot smart ho raha hai" he said caressing my hair, I put my head on his shoulder
"Thank you bhai for being here for both of us, I love you"
"I love you more Choti, chal ab woh snajana terai pati kai bath flirt kar rahi hai" he said making em laugh
"I am starting to like her and I trust him" I said and cabir laughed
"We will see about that, chal" he said getting up,
"Catch me if you can bhai, loser is an asshole" I said and ran with my sandals in my hand
I turned back and saw cabir running after me laughing, I love spending time with my family, people would think im closer to navya but thats not true, cabir and I have a special bond.
"You are an asshole" I yelled laughing and he laughed too catching up to me
"Bhai hu mai tera sharam kar" he said
"Han toh tu mera best friend bhi hai" I said and he hugged me
"What do you want for dinner" he asked walking with me with his arm round my neck
"Hmm I dont know maybe Chinese, manik loves Chinese and Italian so im thinking both of those"
"Yummm yes that sound delicious" He said in agreement
"So how is married life" I asked and he smiled
"Soo good, I mean it doesnt feel different in terms of living together and you know other things but when I wake up and see her ring or when im in the office super stressed or just sitting there and I notice my wedding ring it gives me some kind of satisfaction. It makes me feel like I have done something right in life to have her next to me every moement" he explained with a constant smile on his face
"Aww cabuu you are so cute, I didnt know you were such a softy" I said elbowing him a little making him laugh
"She brings out that side in me" he said
"Oh I know my best friend she is amazing" he nodded hearing me
We reached everyone else, cabir walked to navya and I saw manik laughing with sanjana, for the first time I didnt feel jealous I felt happy seeing him smile, I smiled seeing him smile, yes I wish it was me making him smile but it made me happy
"Hi gorgeous" here we go again
"Hi aryman, what can I do for you" I said looking at manik
"Well for starters stop looking at your husband who is busy flirting with other women, second lets walk together" he said holding my hand
"No thank you and im happy being right here but thank you for offering" I said jerking his hand
"One day nandini" he said behind me as I walked forwards
"Not even in my nightmares aryman" I mumbled and walked to manik
