On October 28, 2019 I was at work but couldn't keep my mind off the last day of the BTS concert in Seoul. It would end the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself era and I felt I just had to be there. No luck at getting concert tickets, my fingers weren't fast enough to catch the remaining slots and the wifi connection was so bad. My cousin and I had planned to go but even hotel rooms around the area were booked, so we decided not to. But that Monday I just couldn't sit still. Finally, I asked for leave from my boss and headed to the airline ticketing office, bought a ticket for midnight, bought luggage, packed and went on my way. YOLO YOLO Yo... sorry Namjoon, I just had to.

It was my first trip out of my country, my first visit to South Korea. I was alone and didn't know a single soul in Seoul (I couldn't take my cousin because I was heading back home the following day). I didn't speak the language either, apart from the words for hello and thank you. I landed at Incheon at 5 am on the last concert date, the air was cold and crisp, got on a bus to Jamsil and tried to wing it from there. Lo and behold, a hotel nearby had one room remaining. When the stars align, things fall into place. I was meant to be there.

I had a magical time! I was with fellow ARMYs outside the stadium, we sang, we danced, we tried to sneak a peek inside and screamed at everything we managed to see from the openings of the stadium, including the line holding Jungkook in Euphoria. We had fun! Hearing Taehyung's live vocals in Singularity is something I will never forget. His voice was so mesmerizing, even without the visuals. And we heard Namjoon sobbing at the endingment. Although I didn't understand why, I teared up too as everyone around me was starting to cry. I just whispered to the cold air, "Why? What happened, RM?" Of course, I found out later that he was crying because he was saying goodbye to the LYSY era. A few seconds after the concert ended, this banner of Namjoon disappeared like magic.

This midnight trip to Seoul remains one of the most memorable moments of my life. I still dream of watching BTS face to face, but even if it doesn't happen it's okay. I'll just remember that night and their live vocals.

It's difficult to understand how much ARMY loves Bangtan. But for me it's because they're just like family who deserve my love and support. So I decided to dedicate my first story in Wattpad to BTS and ARMY, to that special bond that formed inexplicably over time and which, I suspect, may just last forever.

I'd like to thank those of you who read up to the end of my story, and even those who just read their favorite chapters. Am so happy to share Bangtan with you. Thank you also to the ARMYs whose videos I linked here with their permission, and even those whose permission was only implied. The source of all videos and pictures is, of course, BTS and their companies. No copyright infringement is intended.

And although this story is fiction, the Children's Heart Foundation is not. Please show them some love at www.childrensheartfoundation.org
