Promotion

"An evaluation,sir?" One of the employees asked, a little surprised.

"Yes, I have been observing you since the day I arrived here" Nick said sternly.

"What for sir?" Another employee asked.

"I'm going to have to cut a few employees in this company" Nick answered. "I'm going to fire some of you, I will sent you an email tonight. If you received it, don't come back tomorrow"  je announced, as the employees started whispering, wondering why was he suddenly going to fire his employees.

"Do you have any idea what this is  about?" Cristina whispered to Meredith.

"No" Meredith answered, remembering what Andrew told her the other day.

"Listen up, everyone!" Nick yelled  "I  am going to interview each and every one of you later today" he announced, clearly but slowly.

"Interview for what exactly,sir?" Cristina asked.

"Promotion" Nick answered shortly. "I talked to your CEO from last year, CEO Stella Louis Hopper" he added after a few moments. "I asked her opinion about this promotion and she mentioned a few specific person who's deserving for that position" he announced looking around at his employees. "But, to be fair. I am just not going to ask the specific person she mentioned, I am going to asked everyone" he finished his sentence.

"What position,sir?" Alex asked.

"Executive Director" Nick answered shortly.

All of them started, murmuring, whispering about this promotion thing. Since their Day one here in this company, their recent CEO had been mentioning them about this promotion,but they didn't take it seriously because she sounded like she was joking, they didn't believe her until the new CEO arrived.

"It I call your name step inside my office" Nick said.

"Okay,be honest do you have someone in mind?" Nick asked Andrew as they both enter Nick's office.

"They all seem good,but yes I do have a few" Andrew answered. "And an specific one" he added, quietly.

"Remember what I told you last time? about the client who wanted to meet my wife" Nick said suddenly.

"Oh yeah, I clearly remember" Andrew chuckled at the memory. "Why?"

"They keep bugging me about it,and they said if I didn't introduce her to them they won't accept the project" Nick sigh nervously leaning against his chair, clearly anxious. "I mean they're insane, what is my personal life have  to do something in my company, doesn't make any sense" he groaned.

"It does, actually" Andrew said, earnings Nick's attention

"What do you mean, and how exactly?" Nick raised his brows.

"It's like... when you're mad and late at work sometimes, back then, there's something happened at home right? It's either you had a fight with your wife or just not in a good mood. So-- what I'm trying to say is you personal life sometime reflexes to your life, professionally. And you sometimes may bring at work your personal problem" Andrew tried to explain. "Get it?"  Andrew then asked,

"Ki-kinda yeah, thank you" Nick cleared his throat.

"So, what are you going to do? call her and asked  her to save your ass and the project?" Andrew asked sarcastically.

"What no!" Nick answered hesitantly. "No,no I'd never asked for her help, not anymore" he added more quietly.

"What do you mean?" Andrew asked frowning
