Loki's Lover

Chapter 11.

Y/n POV:

After leaving Loki to sleep, I went to the library to pick up a new book. As I scanned the aisles for a good read I heard the the library doors swing open with strong force. I muffled some sort of squeak in surprise and jumped in fear.
"Y/N!" Loki's voiced echoed of the tall walls and roof of the library. I swung my head around the corner of the aisle and saw Loki looking frantic in the doorway of the library.
"Loki?" I said whilst creeping around the aisle to reveal my presence,
"Y/n!" Loki said noticing me and storming over to me.
"Loki?" I repeated, feeling small as Loki's massive frame towered over me,
"Y/n, you said you'd stay. You can't do that, I wake up and your gone!" He growled,
"Loki-" I said,
"You had me worried sick and-" Loki began but his eyes began to water,
"Hey hey hey it's okay lokes it's okay" I said softly, I reached up and wrapped my arms around his shoulders and pulled him into my chest. Loki caved and let me hold him and he rested his head in the crook of my neck and began to shake silently. I rubbed his back and reassured him that 'I'm here' as he cried silently into my neck.
"Don't scare me like that baby" Loki mumbled,
"Pardon?" I said softly not quite hearing him,
"Don't scare me like that y/n" he repeated louder,
"No you don't scare me like that, I almost hit my head on the bookshelf" I said whilst slowly letting go of his shoulders. Loki smiled and turned towards me from my neck and looked at me through his glossy eyes.
"Only you could make me laugh when I am in this state" he laughed whilst dropping his arms to wrap around my waist. Loki looked up at the ceiling and I lied my head on his chest.
"I'm sorry I left" I said softly into his chest,
"My darling I over-reacted in my panic frenzy to get to you, I am the one to be sorry" he said whilst looking down at me. I blushed and coughed whilst trying to get out of his arm,
"No, not yet" Loki said like a child, refusing to give up his toy whilst keeping his arms locked around me,
"You and your mood swings" I teased whilst poking his chest,
"Excuse me?" He said pretending to be offended,
"You heard me" I giggled at his antics,
"You shall suffer my wrath little one" he growled.
"I start training with Nat next week so prepare to face my wrath trickster" I said boldly,
"Is that so?" He purred sounding amused,
"Something funny God of mischief?" I said,
"And why would you be training darling?" He inquired,
"Soon I will be going into battles more regular and Nat said the bad guys always go for the healer" I said proud to be included,
"Why can't I train you?" Loki said pouting,
"Because Bucky already agreed to" I said still smiling,
"What?" Loki said his face losing all signs of teasing and happiness. I began laughing at his face and he just looked angrier.
"I'm joking" I giggled. Loki looked relieved and sighed,
"I was about to say you better be joking my love" he growled whilst pulling me to my feet and starting to dance.
I laughed and began to ballroom dance with him. I was clumsy and confused as Loki took the lead and began to do a basic 4 step square dance. I kept standing on his shoes and walking straight into his chest but he was patient and gentle and kept guiding me through the dance.
"Why are we ballroom dancing in the middle of a library?" I laughed, enjoying the feeling of his arms around me in a safe and protective manner.
"Because we can darling" Loki said spinning me around with graceful elegance.
I laughed and once I was free from his grip when spinning, I began running away from him and through the library book aisles.
"Oh you can run but you can not hide" Loki said with a growl before running after me with a smirk in his voice.
I quickly hid in Loki's least favourite part of the library, the comic section, filled to the brim with iron man comics and more of Tony's narcissistic books about himself. I clamped a hand over my mouth to contain my giggle's.
"Darling, please come out" Loki pleaded with a smile in his voice. I didn't respond as to not give away my hiding place.
"BOO!" Loki jumped out from behind the aisle and reached for me,
"AHH!" I squealed and began running away from Loki and towards one of the library couches. I dived onto the long couch and hid my face with a pillow. Loki ran straight after me and dived on top of me but instead of crushing me, he held his weight on his hands above me and caged me from underneath him.
"My my, look who's gotten themselves trapped?" Loki said teasingly,
"Are you sure I'm the ones who's trapped?" I questioned,
"Yes I'm quite sure" Loki said eyeing me up, I could tell he was secretly enjoying the feeling of me being underneath him.
"You are impossible" I laughed trying to push him off me, but he didn't move a muscle,
"What are you trying to do my love?" Loki said confused by my pathetic attempts to push him off.
"Why are you built like that?" I grumbled,
"Built like what?" He laughed,
"Like a wall of muscle" I said pushing with all my strength with my palms against his chest,
"Angel, if you wanted to touch me, you could've just asked" he smirked down at me. I blushed bright red and looked away from his piercing green eyes. Loki was quick to grab my chin and turn my head to grant him eye contact. With Loki's hand holding my jaw softly and our faces inches apart, we were rudely interrupted by Thor. Thor thundered into the room with great volume and made his presence known,
"Brother, lady y/n" Thor smirked. Loki huffed, annoyed by the interruption to whatever was about to happen. I blushed at the memory and quickly stood up off the couch following Loki's lead.
"What did you need oaf?" Loki said,
"Dinner is ready" Thor said with a stupid smile,
"Shall we?" Loki said turning towards me with a new smile,
"We shall" I said walking alongside Thor and Loki out of the library and towards the kitchen.
"What was going on back there?" Thor said teasingly,
"Shut up brother" Loki huffed,
"That reminds me I still need to get you back for carrying me home" I said with a mischievous smile towards Thor.
"Would you care to help me Loki" I said cheekily,
"Oh no lady y/n, do not enquire my brothers help with a prank" Thor lost his smile and looked genuinely worried,
"What? I like a bit mischief?" I said,
"What my brother means to say is that my version of mischief may be a little different to yours love" Loki said shooting Thor a look I couldn't read.
I laughed and we all entered the kitchen to see the avengers sitting around and eating Chinese take away.
"Yay! Chinese!" I said happily running over to my seat with Loki hot on my trail.
"Glad to see your no longer injured" Bucky smirked,
"Yeah thanks to Thor" I grumbled making everyone laugh but Thor look up at me with a mouth filled with Pad Thai.
"Hey guys can we do something fun tomorrow?" I said excitedly,
"Yes, something we can all do" nat chimed in,
"I'll see what I can do" Steve said with a determined smile,
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tony said pulling a face,
"It means we will wake up and Steve will surprise us with plan for tomorrow" I said happily,
"How exciting" Peter said matching my positive mood. I turned my head to look at Loki and saw he was sitting as usual, quiet and reserved whilst eating.
"Will you come tomorrow lokes?" I questioned,
"Of course my darling" he said softly whilst looking at me with a smile.
"Let's watch a movie after this" Clint quipped,
"Good idea" Sam cheered as everyone rose from the table.
"Y/n care to help me wash up?" Nat asked,
"Sure Nat" I said entering the kitchen, but out of the corner of my eye I saw Loki standing at the dining table looking after me, he looked like a big lost puppy.
"Go ahead lokes, I'll catch up" I said with a gentle smile. Loki nodded before returning the smile and walking from the room.
"Soooooo what happened this afternoon with the God of mischief?" Nat teased,
"Omg Nat, if your so obsessed with him you get with him" I groaned sarcastically,
"No way sister, have you seen the way he looks at you like your the only precious girl on earth" I blushed and returned to scrubbing the dish I was working on.
"That's what I thought and you know it's true" she said with a laugh. I giggled and cupped my hands under the tap and let my palms fill with cold water. I smirked and threw a handful of water onto Nats chest. She shrieked as the cold water made contact with her skin and she looked up at me angrily.
"Hey I like this shirt!" She yelled before throwing water onto my chest.
"NAT! I'm wearing my white school shirt!" I yelled watching my shirt quickly become see through,
"Oops sorry babes" she giggled evilly,
"Your so evil" I laughed, not really caring about my current clothing and enjoying the Friday night water fight.
"But wait" I laughed,
"What?" She giggled,
"To get to my room we have to walk past the living room, where all the boys are" I whispered laughing,
"Oh my god, I gotta smuggle you out" she giggled.
"What's going on in there?" Cap yelled hearing all our laughing,
"Nothing!" I shout back under going a fit of giggles,
"Are you two sure?" I heard Tony say,
"Yep!" Nat yelled,
"Alright how am I supposed to get back to my room without any of them seeing" I said,
"I'll just wrap my arms around you and then I'll shield you with my body whilst we run to your room" nat said in thought. I didn't care if Nat saw me like this, but just not the boys. Nat was like my sister but also my best friend, she'd send me naked and I've seen her so it was normal at this point. But my bra showing through my drenched and transparent shirt was not want I wanted the male avengers to see. Nats black shirt had saved her so we developed a plan. Nat wrapped her arms around me until she was squeezing me tightly.
We began waddling into the living room hugging each other tightly. The first to notice was Loki who was seated at the very end of the couch next to Thor. The rest of the avengers were scattered on sofa lounges and chairs watching The Hunger games, thanks to Clint.
"What the hell?" Tony said looking at us weirdly,
"What nothing weird happening here" I said nonchalantly,
"Y/n, are you okay?" Loki said confused at our odd behaviour,
"Y/n and I perfectly fine" nat said who's face was in my damp chest.
"Shoulder we be concerned?" Thor said standing slowly, with Loki as well.
"Sit back down guys" I said through Nats red locks that were in my face.
"Run" nat whispered in my ear and with that I took off running to my room. I heard thumping footsteps behind me which couldn't have been nats.
"Y/n what's wrong?!" I heard Loki yell behind me, I turned my head to see he was catching up to me.
I ran all the way to my room and shut the door behind me.
"Angel?" Loki said coming to an abrupt halt out the front of my door,
"It's nothing don't worry" I panted out of breath,
"You are worrying me my love tell me what is going on?" He said sounding worried and I winced at the thought of causing him worry over something stupid.
"Hey just give me a minute" I said running over to my wardrobe and getting into some comfy clothing and out of my now soaked school uniform.
"Darling?" Loki repeated still out the front of my door. I swung the door open in new clothes and was instantly embraced in Loki's arms.
"Stop running away" he whispered into my hair,
"I'm sorry but I was in no condition to watch a movie in that attire" I giggled wrapping my arms around his torso.
"You never fail to worry me my love but what happened" he exhaled stepping away and looking me in the eyes,
"Nat threw water on my white school blouse and it went-" I blushed,
"It went what?" Loki said confused,
"It went see through" I said with a laugh,
"I see.." Loki said with a smirk,
"That's why Nat had to-" I began,
"Shield you with her body yes I would have done the same" Loki said studying my new outfit,
"Now we can watch a movie" I said grabbing his hand and running to the living room.

As we walked I to the living room, the male avengers were roaring with laughter.
"I'm guessing Natasha told you all what happened" I said blushing and walking over to sit where Loki was previously sitting.
Instead of replying everybody continued to laugh and I went redder.
I plonked down onto the the two person lounge and Loki sat dangerously close to me. To the point our legs rested on each other's and our shoulders brushed against one another.
I smiled at him and turned my attention to the movie. This has been an awesome Friday!
