Kenzie's pov

"Oh um sorry" I said as they looked up at me

"Mackenzie it's not what it looks like" Shawn said standing up.

"Yeah okay,i just gotta go,justine and I have a dance to rehearse and I got to practice for the voice so bye" I said quickly shutting the door as I walked out.

Why would Jennifer do this?

Justine and I changed into clothes to dance in since our competition was in 3 days. today was Tuesday.

"Justine." I said
"Yeah?" She asked
"When does the dance team get here?"
"Tomorrow"
"Do you think maybe we could stay with them instead of here?."
"I mean I guess,i kinda want to stay with Dakota tho."
"Oh"

We practiced until Nash came to tell us that we were going to the carnival.

Justine started getting her stuff together while I just sat on the couch.

"You coming?" Justine asked about to exit the door.
"Um nah" i said

Justine frowned
"Okay,text me if you need anything"

I nodded my head.

Shawns pov

The guys went to the carnival so but I decided to stay here because Justine came and told me Kenzie wasn't going.

Mackenzies pov

I just got out of the shower and I was wrapped in a towel when I heard a knock on the door

I looked through the peep hole and saw it was Shawn

"Um now is not a good time" I said closing the door but his foot stopped it.

"Listen I didn't kiss Jennifer,she kissed me"Shawn told me

I just looked down

Shawn grabbed my hands

" I love you Mackenzie " he said

I looked up

"And seeing you hurt like this is hurting me " he added

"I love you too Shawn but I can't rush into anything right now." I told him
(Shawn just turned 16 for this story)

"I understand but would you like to go to the mall maybe as really close friends" he asked

"Sure but let me get changed" I replied

He smiled

"You can wait on the couch" I told him

He nodded his head and sat down

I went into my room and got changed into some coral colored high waisted shorts and a white long sleeves crop top and I put on my sperrys

'What should I do with my hair' I asked myself

'Put it up in a ballet bun' I told myself

I fixed my makeup and did my hygiene and went out to tell Shawn I'm ready.

"I'm ready" I said standing in front of Shawn.

"You know u don't need makeup to look beautiful" Shawn said

I blushed

"What time is it I asked Shawn as soon as we got into the car he rented

"7:00 pm" he answered

"Crap!" I said

"What are you okay?" He asked looking at me and then looking back on the road

"Yeah I just remembered its Hayes' bday tomorrow"i said
