Christmas Eve at Tasty treats

Lena's: POV
Tasty treats bakery has been busy for the past several hours. From the moment I arrived, customers have been coming in left and right ordering desserts for tomorrow
Emory's been on the cash register. Asia's took over Chris's position over at the smoothie bar, between doing that and wiping down the tables. Luckily there was enough sweets in the display case, l made a variety of everything so people could choose what they wanted. I brought Frankie in with me, she wanted to tag along. Ariana was home with Stef, l think she's coming down with a cold or something. Francesca is helping me put the cakes in the boxes, for the Patriots who were coming in to pick up their orders. We're only going to be open until 6:00 this evening, l have Asia and Emory's check in my desk drawer
Stef did the payroll last night. We decided to give them something extra for all their hard work, time is going by so fast. It's going on 4:30 in the afternoon, Tasty treats will be closed till January 2. Then we have to do inventory again and order more baking supplies. I try to buy enough stuff for six months so we don't run out,

I make homemade icing, after we're finished where going up to the children's hospital to deliver some Christmas cookies and gifts to the kids. Emory Asia and Frankie wanted to attend, it does my heart glad that l have such devoted employees who wanted to accompany me to visit children's hospital. I made my mission to spread some holiday cheer, to these sick kids. This would be my second visit. I went once before on my own, it breaks my heart
That they can't even go home to their families for Christmas, l set aside a bunch of goodies for them to eat

When she leaves the bakery, Lena knows the branch office is closed tomorrow. She doesn't like leaving cash lying around, Lena makes a quick decision taking the money home with her was a better plan. She gets Asia's and Emory's checks out the safe, their check was in a white envelope with there names on the front. Frankie comes into Lena's office, to let her know they were done
Francesca went to use the bathroom. Lena logged out her computer, Lena made sure she had everything before they left. She always leaves the surveillance cameras on
Frankie came out the restroom. Lena needs to use the bathroom before they hit the road, Frankie sits at her mommy's desk. And sees a picture of them in a frame
Then another one with her momma, Frankie hears the toilet flush. Lena comes back out, and sees her daughter at her desk. Babe you ready Lena asks Francesca
Yeah mommy how long are we gonna be at the hospital
Frankie States. No more than two hours Lena replied
They head out the office, Lena locks the door behind her
She goes in the kitchen to make sure everything's turned off. She turns out the lights, Lena sees all the boxes packed up on the counter. She gives Asia and Emory the envelopes, they both say thank you. I really appreciate you guys coming in and helping me out, l put a little extra in your checks. Lena tells both girls, can you help me these packages out to my car. Frankie pitched in as well
Their were a total of twenty packages, they all worked out the door. Lena turns on the alarm. Locking the top and bottom lock, Lena unlocks the doors of her car. They begin loading up the back seat, with the boxes of sweets
Frankie gets in the vehicle. Okay you guys can follow me in. Your cars, the children's hospital is a fifteen minute drive, Lena told the two young women.
