Stef's: POV
After having dinner l went upstairs to draw Lena a bubble bath. Leaving everyone down in the kitchen, things have been a little crazy these last few weeks, the contractors just started working on the repairs for Lena's new bakery tasty treats. She's been extremely stressed waiting on the permits to come in, we've done everything by the book
The electrician has already finished the wiring and installed the ovens. Hopefully things run smoothly
I never knew opening up a restaurant would be this much work. The girls start school next month, Francesca has helped us out by looking after her younger sister, since moving here to Manhattan New York. Two months ago
It's a lot different from San Francisco, like the weather for instance. It is actually cold, back in California the temperature is like 75 degrees. All of our friends didn't understand why we were relocating, Lena and I just wanted something different for our family. Plus her parents are here, my mother Sharon lives in the missions Bay Area. Lena's: POV
While Francesca was doing the dishes
I took Sofia for her nightly walk around the block
Ariana was already in bed for the night. She goes to bed every night at the same time, 8:00 and Frankie goes at nine. Lena strapped on Sofia's leash on to her collar
They started walking out the driveway and out on to the road. Lena always carried Mace with her, for protection
Stef's usually the one to walk Sofia. Especially in a new neighborhood, you never can't be sure who lurking around. Lena has a black belt in karate, Stef taught Lena how to defend herself. Lena thinks back to how her and Stef met the first time, she smiles

Everyday Stef came in like clock work to order Lena's famous apple dump cake, when one of Lena's Staff came in the kitchen. to tell her someone requested to see her out front. She was pretty busy that day
When Lena finally came out, she saw a beautiful tall blonde woman. With the most piercing blue eyes
That made Lena's heart skip a beat, Lena has had a thing for blondes. But the one that stood at the counter
Was something different, she's never seen before
Lena tried to remain professional as possible

Lena asks. I take my lunch break at different times if l'm not out in the field. How long have you been in business

Lena replied, that's great because I was telling my co worker. Just the other day
