Christmas morning was so beautiful the girls got everything they asked for on their list. Now I'm in the kitchen a pan of lasagna and a tall salad, my parents called to say they were on their way over to the house
Stef cleaned up all the trash from all the wrapping paper
That Frankie and Ariana torn up. The lasagna is in the oven, mom told me that she was gonna bring the wine
Since we ran out of red wine, we all got washed and dressed. l can't wait to see the look on mom and Dad's faces, when we give them their gifts. I know mom is going to cry, they leave tomorrow afternoon for the cruise
We're sending them on, they're be going for two whole weeks. Stef and the kids brought me a diamond bracelet and a angel necklace, it was from the girls. Stef's gift to me was a bunch of hand bags, bath and body works stuff
Pj's and some sexy lingerie and a silk robe, three pairs of UGG boots. Some clothes. I purchased her a brand new laptop, the new iphone thirdteen, a printer and some office furniture for her new office. We always buy each other a lot, her furniture set won't be delivered till next week. I showed her pictures of it on my phone
Sofia got a few presents, she has her own doggie bed
Stef went out and got a play mate for Sofia. Another girl dog who is two years old. She has all her immunizations and she's fixed, we haven't decided a name for her yet
Now we have two dogs. Stef purchased everything for the puppy she's brown she's a lot smaller than Sofia. Stef took her for a walk around the block to get her adjusted, she could pass for Sofia's twin. We're both dog lovers
I told Stef no more animals, two is enough Ariana wasn't fazed by the new edition. Frankie took to the new furry cuddly dog, Stef said the pup is very well trained
She better be. Or l will tan her tail, somebody was running the bell, Ariana asks Frankie were downstairs in the family room. Stef came down the steps to answer the door
Merry Christmas, l heard my father's voice all the way in the kitchen. I was busy setting up the dinning room table
My mother walked into the kitchen, Merry Christmas mommy. I said to her, same to you sweetheart she gives me a hug and kiss, mom hands me the bag with the wine inside. Where's my lovely granddaughters at, mom asked me, oh there down in the basement watching TV until dinners. I go put the wine in the refrigerator so it could get cold, dad came in and greeted me with a warm hug
She takes mom's coat and hung it up in the closet
Stef gives me the look, that says she's gonna get there presents. Dad gets some celery and carrots sicks too nibble till the food is done cooking, Stef came back carrying a white envelope in her hand. She walked in the dinning room and handed it to my Dad, mom was sitting beside Daddy. He opened up the envelope up
Oh my goodness girls this l can't begin to describe
How much this means too both of us, Stuart says
Honey what is it mom asked. Daring our daughter and daughter in law, are sending us on a two week carnival cruise. That leaves tomorrow afternoon, and we have first class tickets for the plane and a three thousand dollar visa gift card. Dad States, he shows it to mom, Daddy gave each of us hug, it's from all of us to you. to show our appreciation for everything you do, you deserve it
I tell Dad. See l told you mom was gonna cry baby
Lena says to Stef, oh my God sweethearts this to much
Mom said with tears in her eyes. She got up from the table and hugged me and Stef, Stuart excuses himself for a minute. This calls for a celebration Stef Stated
She goes to get the wine and glasses. I go and check on the lasagna, in the oven. I put on oven mitts and take it out
Then put on the counter, Dad came back in carrying several large gift bags. I turned off the oven
I let the lasagna cook off some before cutting into it
Stef brings over the alcohol beverages, she passes everyone one. Dana looks at her husband
My love shall we tell the girls the good news
Mom says to Dad, what news. I asked my mother
Well Lena and Stephanie, your father went to play the lottery and won the Powerball and the mega millions
Stef and I mouths hung open wide. Dear close your mouth
We don't want no flies to fly in, mom says to me
I think l'm gonna pass out. I said, Stef goes to get me some water, l guzzle my wine down quickly. She hands me a bottle water, my hands were shaking. Congratulations mom and dad Stef tells my parents, this was the first time
Stef called my mother mom. Mom begins to cry again
She gives Stef a tight hug, Stefanie it's about damn time
You start calling me mom. I would never try and take a place of your own mother, you have made my little girl so happy. Dana tells Stef. Thank you for welcoming me into your family, it means a lot to me Stef's eyes begin to water
