Saki believed their little troupe was like a fairytale.

After all, even if they were at times weird, and odd, and a little bit out there-that was a part of the charm, she supposed. They lived out their little acting lives on their little dinky stage and made plays for little tiny children and all was well.

BOOM!

"RUI, DID YOU SET OFF ANOTHER EXPLOSION AGAIN?!"

Mostly.

"Saki."

She turned around. "Hm?"

"You think we made a good choice, choosing to bring back this stage and perform here?" Mizuki asked, looking away.

Saki made a show of putting her hand on her chin as if she was thinking really hard, before grinning. "Of course! Look how many people we've made smile! Especially Emu; I'm glad she let us use the stage. She always looks so happy when we tell her how many people come to watch us each show."

"Heh, you're always so positive, Saki."

"How couldn't I be? I've got the best troupe members anyone could ask for, it's like my own personal happily ever after!"

"Awww, Saki, you sap!"

Whenever she helped out Rui with the props and so on, she always made it a point to bring up the first testing incident.

(All in good fun, of course.)

"I said I was sorry, Sakiii! I didn't know you were just released from a hospital!"

She dramatically leaned back and put her hand to her forehead. "Woe is me~! I can't believe you nearly killed me with your inventions, Rui!"

"I didn't nearly kill you!"

She giggled. "Of course not, Rui. You help us put on the most unreal shows, after all."

It was his turn to sigh and be dramatic. "So you were guilt-tripping me with the testing incident! I can't believe you'd do that, Saki."

"Gah, don't you turn on me now!"

He shrugged, and continued to fiddle with one of his inventions. "You're fun to mess with."

"Bleh, so are you!"

They settled into a comfortable silence, only the sound of Rui tinkering being heard. Saki turned around to face the sky. It was sunset, and the colours reminded her of a closing storybook: both things were the signal of an end.

"Saki, what are you thinking about?"

"The sunset. It's like a closing storybook."

"...you sure do like you fairytales."

"Of course!" She waved her arms around. "They're guaranteed happy endings of tales so far-fetched and wild I almost wish I were in one myself! They're so.. big, and exciting, and just..."

"Give you huge hopes for what could come next?"

She snapped her fingers. "Yep! You got it, Mr fiction-to-life!"

"Hweh?"

"Your inventions help bring our shows closer to fiction, after all! They bring the dreams of our plots all the way to the stars!"

Kohane was the one Saki always got to see the most, them both being in the same school, after all.

"Hey, Kohane!" She waved over to the girl.

Kohane eagerly waved back with almost as much vigour (almost no one could beat Saki in the enthusiasm department, after all.)

"Oh, Saki! You know, I actually came up with an idea for our next show..."

"You should wait until rehearsals to tell all of us! For now, just have lunch with me, alright?"

As Kohane sat down next to Saki, she took a good, long look at her. She'd changed so much from when she first stumbled upon the dilapidated Wonderstage.

"Why are you staring at me so hard?"

Saki blinked. "Ah, you know. Thinking about how you went to being afraid of Rui and Mizuki to corraling them when they get too crazy."

Kohane snorted. "Alright, listen..."

"You even got a new look to go with the new personality!"

"It helped me to get into character, okay?"

"Ironic, since we're actors."

When they all did their bows for the end of the show, Saki had a huge smile on her face.

After all, if their little troupe was their own fairytale, the she was definitely pleased with the one she walked into.
