...

Saki was never fond of silence.

It was far to reminiscent of her past. Of far-off hospital rooms and being all alone and wishing her friends would come talk to her a little longer. Wishing she weren't so sick and could actually live at home normally and go out with her friends, and going to the mall together and playing their instruments.

But it wasn't so silent anymore. No, how could it ever be silent in the midst of a theme park?

One sound she was fond of was the absent-minded chatter of the group when they hung out together.

"What I'm saying is that it would be fully possible-"

"Please do not do that, Rui."

Mostly. She was mostly fond of the absent-minded chatter. It served as a comforting background noise to life and it was nice to know that she had friends that had her back.

It was also nice to hear the other sounds of the theme park. The laughing, yelling... maybe not the crying babies, though. It was quite akin to a banshee shriek in a way she decided she definitely did not like.

A sound she was not fond of: rain.

Rain was okay on most occasions, actually. It was a peaceful, lovely thrum against the windows.

It was not okay when it reminded her of being stuck alone in thehospital on rainy nights. That just made her sad.

A sound she missed was her brother's lively yelling.

The house was much more quiet than when they were younger, even with Tsukasa's room only having three walls.

She wondered why he had gotten quieter nowadays.

And lastly, a sound she would be glad to never hear again.

He sound of silence.

Because it was much more fun when there was sound all around, when everyone was feeling lively and was smiling till their cheeks went numb.

It relieved her when everything was loud to let her know that she was still living, that life was going on and on and everyone was ready to party.

And with all this sound around her, she felt sure that perhaps things would stay okay this time.
