23 -《REFLECTION》

Mizuki was always a fan of good fashion.

So it would make sense to always take some good looks in the mirror to check whether something looked good on them or not.

This has gone differently throughout the years.

 

  

 

For example, in middle school:

Ah... this skirt.

It's so beautiful. And when I spin, it...

They took a moment to twirl, smiling as they went.

Ah, it's basically perfect.

But...

What would everybody else say? They'd tell me it's weird to want to wear this sort of stuff, no doubt.

...but I want to buy it so bad. It's very cute.

 

  
"Rui, do you like the costumes I made for us?"

The two of them stood in front of the mirror, Mizuki grinning with a self-assured smugness.

Rui held out his arms. "Hm, I quite like the sleeves."

"Good! I knew you'd like them!"

"All that's left now is to make these shows a reality, huh?"

"...yeah," They said, looking at themself in the mirror this time. "I guess it's really happening."

A dream that I hope that will last.

 

"Kohane, let me help you with your stage makeup..."

Kohane didn't protest, sitting down in one if the cushioned chairs. "Didn't know you could do makeup. Though I guess it seems like your sort of thing, with your obsession with cute things and all.

They shrugged. "Rui lets me do his eyeliner, so I've had practice on other people. Okay, close your eyes, I want this to be a surprise..."

Said girl obliged, and when she opened her eyes again and looked in the mirror, her jaw dropped. "Oh, Mizuki, it's beautiful..!"

Smiling, they did a small bow. "Thank you, thank you!"

"My eyes match yours now!"

"...huh, they do!"

 

  






 


 

 



 

 

When Mizuki took a simple look in the bathroom mirror, they let out a small chuckle to themself.

"Look at you..!" They mumbled, "you have lots of good friends now, me."

I'm not alone anymore.
